“College Station Quality”
The only problem that I encountered was that the Hotel was situated in some road construction and was a little confusing to get to. Other then that it was a great stay.
“It's Good To Know”
It's good to know that the window draperies come in three layers, with the hidden back layer being effective, if closed, in blocking the light of the street lamp. This information may or may not be explained to a guest on checking in. The bathroom light and fan come on simultaneously, so if you are the slow-waking, silent type, it is good to know this before you check in. The breakfast includes scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, fresh waffles, and the usual yogurt, cereal, pastries, and fresh coffee.
“Pretty decent”
The customer service, free breakfast, free parking, laundry facility, gym, pool, and vending machines were all wonderful. One thing I did not like was the dirty carpet in the hallways. It not only looked dirty, it smelled dirty and that really does not go well with such nice package that they offer. The carpet in the room was not as dirty. The bathroom was immaculate!
“Nice and Clean”
Very nice and clean. Staff very helpful and pleasant.
“Nice Hotel”
A newer hotel right off highway, but a little tricky to get to because of the service roads. Lobby had a complimentary coffee/capuccino machine for guests, which was just what i needed when I checked in that late afternoon. Very clean and very good breakfast buffet.
“Satisfied”
Hotel was well-located. The room was very roomy (I had a single king-size room.) Staff was very friendly. The breakfast included bacon, sausage, and eggs.
“Not great but not aweful.”
It was an ok place to stay. No bugs or creepy crawlies but I have stayed in better.
“Good for Price-Very good breakfast!”
I stayed with my family at the Quality Suites in College Station in early October. This appears to be a relatively new hotel, which is located toward the south end of the city. We selected the hotel based upon price and others' on-line ratings. Overall, I have to give this hotel an average rating. PROS Hotel staff are extremely nice and eager to please. We were greated warmly upon every return. The breakfast was good. Rooms were HUGE. We had two double-queen rooms. Room has a pull-out sofa in the room, along with executive chair/desk/desk chair, in a sitting area. The room had 4 lamps. I wish that we had had just one room for 5 family members--we would have been easily accommodated. Free Wi-Fi. However, it was not stable, and dropped about every 15 mins. Very frustrating. CONS Location/access. The hotel is located near the far south end of College Station. While everything in B/CS is technically within reasonable driving distance, the hotel wasn't the most convenient place from which to quickly reach the universtiy. We also had some initial frustration trying to get places from hotel. Room Environment. Room A/C is loud (white noise) and blowing all the time. Also, not sure of cause, but both rooms had musty/stale smell. It wasn't over powering, and we ultimately elected not to change rooms. However, we were reminded of this everytime we returned.
“Quiet when A&M is not in Session”
We just needed a place to sleep on New Year's Eve, only stayed about 10 hours. Breakfast was over by the time we woke up at 10. Holiday and Sunday breakfast should be later!
“Not impressed”
This hotel was not in a very convenient location and in a pretty run down neighborhood. The whole building smelled musty. I would never stay here again and would not recommend it to others.
