“It was okay”
I stayed at this hotel because i had an early flight out of College Station and don't live in the immediate area. The location was a little creepy. The view from my room was another hotel or maybe an apatment complex across the parking lot that was abandoned and all boarded up, didnt seem like the best area of town. The gentleman who checked me in was a bit rude. But the evening lady who attendended the office that evening was very nice. The upside was that it WAS convienient to the airport in College Station, next door to Applebess, and had a frige and microwave in the room. The bed was very low but comfortable enough. I am a travel agent and would not recommend this property to a client unless they understood that you get what you pay for. But if you want something cheap, just a place to lay your head, it's good enough. I would probably not stay there again.
“The second-dumpiest hotel I've ever stayed in”
This hotel is a dump, and the daytime manager, Norman, is rude. Further, they tried to add charges that weren't specified on the Expedia listing. Even at the (very cheap) Expedia price, I overpaid.
“You get what you pay for: Adequacy”
The room was an inexpensive option during a game day weekend when almost nothing else was available. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with the room; rather, it was very bare bones and adequate. Main complaint: The TVs are ancient and have some sort of surround sound setting that makes the audio intolerable. They have also disabled all setting availability on the TVs other than channel and volume which is frustrating because as old as the TVs are, the settings are necessary to adjust sound quality, etc. The buildings on either side of this complex are decrepid and have windows boarded up, I'm not sure how they pass code. That said, it's not the hotel's fault that adjacent land use is slummy. Last, the staff at the desk was very curteous and fair. Overall you get what you pay for and I wanted an inexpensive room with adequate cleanliness and that's what we got.
“College Stations best!!”
Always stay at Knights Inn while my daughter has been attending A&M. Very clean, neat, convenient to the the campus and a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend.
“2 from Houston”
Good value for the price. Helpful front desk. Rooms as expected for the price, and good to spend a couple of days in there. Didnt use any of the ammenities
“Noisy, smelly and poor quality”
Patrons were loud even late at night. Room was either too cold or too hot. Bathroom was rotting away in the corners. At the breakfast was impossible. This is a good place for a bunch of college kids on a one night sleep-over. Not for a family weekend trip. Sorry we won't be back.
“College Station”
Hotel was alright, nothing fancy, very adequate.
“Good value for money”
I just went to visit a friend, who was in College station on a business trip. She was staying at la quinta and i had booked my room at knights inn. La quinta was charging 3 times more because it was on saturday, and this is 2 minutes from la quinta, so i chose this one. I thought my hotel was ok, just how it is supposed to be for that price, however, when i picked up my friend at airport, and took her to la quinta, I really appreciated knights inn, staff were helpful and friendly at check in. This guy at la quinta was horrible, just asked her last name and took out a paper for her to sign, and she was reading, so he goes, is there a problem, She then said, well cant i read, before i sign, anyway, after that, he just gave her a key and room no. not telling her that she has to go in different building, where the room was located, it was a guest who assisted us. So I just figured knights inn was much better.
“Don't stay here”
Convenient location not worth staying in hotel with burned out building next door, old, run down, no amenities and not even that cheap.
“You Get What You Pay For”
I guess I shouldn't have expected too much considering the price I paid. The exterior is that of a typical motel. The side I stayed on looked a bit worn down due to constant sun exposure to the brick facade. The interior was well furnished with bathroom and sink, a bed, drawers, an arm chair, a comfy office chair and desk, a mini-fridge and a TV. Overall, the stay was acceptable as I only stayed at the inn to sleep. The problems were mostly related to the beginning on the trip. I was assigned a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. The bedsheets and pillow covers were on the floor and the bins still had trash in them. Now, my phone had just died/bricked so I needed to leave to get it checked (as I could not contact the people who I had come to College Station to visit) so I called and asked for room service to come clean my room while I was away. I come back an about 2 hours later and the room is still dirty. So I go downstairs to the front office to ask for a clean/different room and end up getting lectured on how I should have asked for a new room from the beginning and why I shouldn't get a new room now. While the manager may have had a point, the still doesn't make it seem like its my fault that my room was dirty. Eventually, I get a new room. I get settled. No towels. No TV remote. Rather than risk anymore miscommunication over the phone, I went down to request those items and they were sent up without any problems. The location of the motel was good, right next to A&M.
