“Nice place to stay”
Very nice rooms, good breakfast offerings. Only problem was a slow-draining tub.
“Nice hotel, nice staff, but...”
Located conveniently with places to eat within walking distance. Nice hotel, but there were crumbs of dirt on the carpet which obviously tells me they don't vacuum in between guests and/or the housekeeping staff missed this. Only staying one quick night, so I didn't even report it for them to fix.
“A little cold”
The air conditioning blows from the wall right over the bed. Too cold for the person on the right side. Continantal breakfast so so. They had breakfast for sale which had omlets etc. Staff nice and accomodating. We were on the third floor and the Exit lights were out on both sides of the hall entrance way.
“Not Impressed”
Check in was great....then we went to our room. Not clean, but we were going to be in and out a lot. When we went to go to sleep, our beds had hair in them! We ask for sheets to be sent up. 2 1/2 hours later, my son went to the front desk to get some. They never apologized or asked if they could send someone to change the sheets. As a bonus, they sent only fitted sheets.
“ummmmm......not so great.........”
First room was dirty. Had them change us to another room. After first night...no maid service. Bathtub stopped up, but they fixed that. Supposed to be sold out and 2-night minimum. People were walking in and reserving rooms for one night only. Good things: Starbuck's coffee and nice continental bkfst buffet.
“You're better off staying in Houston!!!”
I just wanted a nice room for my family so I paid just short of 2 benjamins for this room. This was not a weekend holiday price, this was for a room on a dead Thursday night. I booked a double queen and got a king room. I spent all that money to sleep on a sofa bed...a 3 inch mattress. The positive was that the TV was excellent...a 46" LCD with a DVD hookup. But, there were many negatives. The door to our room would not lock, so one of us had to stay in the room at all times (hotel did not fix it). We found a toe nail clipping (not ours) in the sheets of our King bed and there was mold on the sheets of our sofa bed. Worse off, my 2 year old son found a previous visitor's teeth braces rubberband. Sooooo disgusting. The bathroom room door also would not lock. The room has a fridge but no microwave...strange concept. The fridge was dirty. Finally...the free hot breakfast was yogurt, toast or bagels. If you wanted eggs, potatoes, or bacon...that costs extra. I have never felt so cheated out of my money and the whole experience left me feeling upset and empty like I just gambled the mortgage money. I paid so much of our hard earned money and we got so little in return. In the future, I would drive to Houston and stay at a real hotel. We often travel to CS and the hotels are overpriced for what they offer compared to other cities. I am used to a certain level of honesty and integrity and this hotel was a major dissapointment. I will stay in Houston before I book here again!!!!
“Bad Maintainance”
Clean and modern, but shower did not work and phone did not work. Hotel had us "walk" to another room and offered no compensation or assistance. Did apologize, but offered nothing else.
“Not what I expected”
The room was a lot smaller than I expected. Ramada was more spacious. Room was not read, couch covers were not placed, no closet door.
