“All Good”
Previewed many hotels in the area and this one had one of the best rates. Very friendly and helpful staff, everything was clean and comfortable, easy check-in/out; well worth the price. It is well-located near Texas A&M, numerous dining choices, easy freeway access, and good neighborhood. Highly recommended.
“Gigem hyatt!”
Wondeful and clean hotel. Great breakfast assortment!!
“Nice stay at College Station”
The hotel is in an area with many restaurants and shopping opportunities.
“Not what I expected”
The room was a lot smaller than I expected. Ramada was more spacious. Room was not read, couch covers were not placed, no closet door.
“Great value for the money.”
Decor was attractive with a sitting area and a big screen TV with convenient plugs for a portable DVD player. Refrigerator with a freezer was a real plus. Only negative was that the icemaker on the floor was broken and there was no drawer space.
“Adequate Except for Breakfast”
We stayed at the Hyatt Place expecting something a little nicer than the average college-town hotel, and generally got it. The room was quite large, with an unusual pit-sofa arrangement in the living area and a partial kitchenette. All in all, the room was comfy. Check-in was friendly if a bit strange. However, the "continental" breakfast was very weak, and we opted instead for McDonalds down the street. One normally expects to have juice, coffee, and some sort of pastry served as a continental breakfast, and all we could find in the breakfast room were milk and crisp rice cereal, and there weren't enough of those items to go around.
“You're better off staying in Houston!!!”
I just wanted a nice room for my family so I paid just short of 2 benjamins for this room. This was not a weekend holiday price, this was for a room on a dead Thursday night. I booked a double queen and got a king room. I spent all that money to sleep on a sofa bed...a 3 inch mattress. The positive was that the TV was excellent...a 46" LCD with a DVD hookup. But, there were many negatives. The door to our room would not lock, so one of us had to stay in the room at all times (hotel did not fix it). We found a toe nail clipping (not ours) in the sheets of our King bed and there was mold on the sheets of our sofa bed. Worse off, my 2 year old son found a previous visitor's teeth braces rubberband. Sooooo disgusting. The bathroom room door also would not lock. The room has a fridge but no microwave...strange concept. The fridge was dirty. Finally...the free hot breakfast was yogurt, toast or bagels. If you wanted eggs, potatoes, or bacon...that costs extra. I have never felt so cheated out of my money and the whole experience left me feeling upset and empty like I just gambled the mortgage money. I paid so much of our hard earned money and we got so little in return. In the future, I would drive to Houston and stay at a real hotel. We often travel to CS and the hotels are overpriced for what they offer compared to other cities. I am used to a certain level of honesty and integrity and this hotel was a major dissapointment. I will stay in Houston before I book here again!!!!
“Stayed here 10+ times now”
I have stayed at this hotel many times and would highly recommend it for its cleanliness, and wonderful beds. It has a modern decor and is very quiet and comfortable overall.
“home away from home”
I stayed at this hotel for a week and a half and was very satisfied with all aspects of my stay. The hotel staff was very accomodating, friendly and professional.
“"I'LL Be Back!"”
...excellent service by all the hotel staff ...went out of their way to accomodate us due to my husbands seizure disorder. ...continental breakfast area and food options was great. ...rooms were very nice and clean, beds were comfortable ...We will be back!
