“I still have nightmares of the handprint on the wall by the whirlpool tub.”
The title says it all! The furniture was all scuffed and abused looking. The ceiling was made up of panels with gaps between them. One of the panels was buckled. The staff was nice enough but wasn't helpful. I know places raise prices on football weekends but to get a Motel 6 for the price of an Omni is a bit much. This room was listed as the bridal suite. Bridezilla was closer to the truth! The only plus was location. It was very easy to get to the highway and to Kyle Field.
“Over-priced”
First the good: The hotel was clean and the service was good. The bad: The hotel seemed a little bit above mediocre. I stayed in the "king bed suite" because I wanted to get a quiet, relaxing night sleep . The bed was comfy but still had that springy old mattress feel to it. The room was small, but cozy. The suite was private, but you could hear your neighbor right by you, your neighbor above you, and on occasions people running in the hall. They add in the cost for Wi-Fi use when you book the room as well as $20 for two for breakfast. Charging for Wi-Fi is ridiculous and having to pay for breakfast before arriving and having breakfast is insane. The hotel's food is of course over-priced. In all, you pay a good amount for an above adequate room and then pay a chunck for Wi-Fi and then more for food. Ive stayed in Holiday Inns many times and I was kind of disappointed at what I got for my money. If you dont mind being charged for about every amenity and staying in an over-priced, average room just to be near the college then this Holiday Inn will be fine. On the other hand, if you dont mind driving a couple of miles more then another Holiday Inn will do.
“Nearly new hotel”
Excellent location - close to TAMU but not too close. Close to mall where shuttles leave for football games.
“GREAT QUIET HOTEL”
CLEAN, QUIET, EASY ACCESS, FRIENDLY- HELPFUL MANAGEMENT AND STAFF
“Nice place to stay for game weekend.”
Prices are always crazy on game day weekends but that is part of all Hotels profit margin. This is really nice hotel in safe part of College Station. Stayed here before and really love it. Wish the breakfast was included in rate but otherwise no complaints.
“Very impressed”
The hotel was very clean and welcoming, staff was very friendly and accomodating. Have stayed at this location before and will continue to from now on. I highly reccomend this hotel to anyone travelling in the Bryan/College Station area.
“Enjoyed our stay.”
Hotel is conveniently located, has clean rooms with comfortable beds. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
“Great Aggie Hotel”
Hotel is conveniently located. Fairly new facility, approximately 4 years old and extremely well maintained. The room was exceptionally clean, nice furniture, comfortable bed. Nice place--Highly recommended.
“Great Stay”
Hotel is fairly new and appeared to be well maintained. Staff was courteious and helpful. There were two large groups of children (soccer and basketball tournaments) so there was a lot of noise but other than that I will definitely stay here again.
“Smoking or Non-Smoking...that's the question.”
The hotel lobby was very clean and the woman at Reception was wonderful. When she checked us in she told us that the hotel was non-smoking and smoking was not permitted in our room or lobby. Since my son is asthmatic this was not a problem. The room was very large, clean, and well equipped. Upon entering the bathroom my son made the comment someone had been smoking in there. I checked it out and was hit with a very strong odor of cigarette smoke. We notified the front desk and received an apology and was told they would clean it immediately. We left shortly afterward so I don't know if they did clean it or not. When we returned the bathroom still smelled of smoke but it wasn't nearly as bad. This was the only problem with the room. The beds were comfortable. The room was quiet. The breakfast buffet was delicious.
