disappointing overall

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: location
Cons: rooms need a facelift. Restaurant needs some serious rethinking
the room was dark and dingy. We were told it overlooked the pool. It did not. The restaurant staff was courteous, but it took forever to get the food both at breakfast and dinner despite the fact that it was not at all busy. The food was mediocre. The chili was barely warm, and the spring rolls were greasy and not particularly flavorful. In addition, there are 4 TV's in the restaurant so every where you looked there was a screen. For me that is not a plus.

Very comfortable for family with multiple rooms.

Pros: Suite was very nice.
Cons: Pool area needs updated landscaping.
Location: Great location for eating out, campus, and Northgate nightlife.
In town for College graduation with multiple family members. Junior suites were large with plenty of sitting room. Spent time in pool and hot tub. Hotel located near many restaurants and across the street from Blue Baker.

Pros: Great People
Cons: Food Court
Location: Super
The food in the Steak house was terrible. Every thing else was SUPER. We could not eat the food it was cold and we could not chew the meat it was so tough. SORRY but that is the way it was.

Hilton 2 blocks from Texas A&M campus

Pros: It is close to campus and right across the street from several really good restaurants.
Cons: There is limited parking, but the hotel had no rooms left, so to be expected.
The staff is always very helpful and friendly. This is the third time I've stayed there, and it is always clean, quiet, and a great place to stay.

Hotel is a little dated. Bathroom lighting is dim. You could tell that it appeared to not be updated in a while. At least in our room.

The stay was fine but the TV in our room was on the blink and did not work. WE called the maintenance engineer and he claimed the TV was to have been repaired a week earlier. We were given two breakfast tickets and grateful for them but it really was a bad deal. I know Hilton can do better.
