“Not bad for the price”

Older hotel with tube TV and old furniture but sufficient for a night's rest. Large horizontal sliding glass window facing the parking lot was a security concern but the hotel is in a commercial area and next to a Diner that the local law enforcement folks frequent which helps to calm the concern. No decaf coffee in the breakfast service area but was available in the room coffee packet.

“Not a good visit”

I have stayed at this Days Inn on many occasions while visiting my daughter in College Station. Previously the rooms were clean but on this visit, the carpet was very dirty and it appeared it had not been vacuumed or cleaned in some time.

“Solid Comfort”

The hotel was convenient to where we had to be. It was quiet and clean and efficiently run at the desk and for the morning complementary breakfast. Not fancy, but got the job done. Compared to other choices for this trip, the cost was inline with what we got. Near the University so it gets a lot of visitors, but they do a good job of keeping the rooms performing well given a high and heavy use.

“Nice staff, but noisy night”

The front desk clerk was really friendly. I arrived a bit before check in time and our room was ready, which is always a great thing. My complaint was that there was so much outdoor noise that could be heard inside the room that it was difficult to get a good night's rest. We had a man banging on the door past midnight over and over until finally I got up to ask what the person wanted and all he said was some guy's name. When I told him he had the wrong room, he walked away, but continued to walk back and forth, back and forth outside our door, making it very uncomfortable to rest and feel safe. Early morning, I was awoken by someone loading their pick up truck and banging the tailgate around, and soon after that, Maintenance knocked on the door and then the cleaning service. I had not checked out, so I was surprised by all the comotion. My advice is to hang your Do Not Disturb tag if you want to sleep past nine, and bring some ear plugs. I will try to choose another hotel next time.

“Bring the Lysol”

Obviously a very old hotel. We were in the back building and the rooms had that mildewy smell and the carpet was nasty but if you needed a place to sleep, it's okay I guess. You get what you pay for. On the upside, the front desk person was very cordial. I'd be surprised if this property was still there in 5 years.

“Heavy traffic noise”

Aside from the paper thin walls, the room wasn't too bad. The traffic noise was heavy, the pedestrian noise was almost as loud. The bed was a little on the seedy side. Other than those things, the room wasn't too bad.

“Days Inn College Station, TX”

Our room looked as though it had been half heartedly cleaned. The beds were made and trash emptied but the floors were not clean and neither was the shower. The furniture was stained. It seemed to be an older motel with a cheap remodel job. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was well stocked clean and well attended. I will look for other accommodations the next time I am there due to the room condition and lack of cleaning.

“Not impressed- Don't know who to blame- expedia or days inn?”

It is the days inn, not the ritz. I knew that but it is an old hotel, the breakfast area is congested and cramp. The staff was nice enough. My chief complaints are about the two rooms not being near one another and we did not get the two double beds in each room like we requested. I can't tell if expedia was to blame or the hotel staff. In all it was acceptable for what it was, I won't be back because it is a little on the dumpy side.

“not going back”

It was not a very nice place to stay. The room smelled musty. Bed and pillows were unconfortable and the phone did not work. The only good thing was that the shower had good water pressure and it was hot.
