“There are much better hotels at the National Harbor”
Some of my concerns are as follows: this is a fairly new hotel and the room that was assigned to me had stains on the carpet and stains on the furniture. I requested a room on the 11th floor; it did not have stains but the bathroom door could not close. I was there Thanksgiving Day and the day after. My room was not cleaned the second day because they gave the staff a vacation, of course I was not told that when I checked in, instead they gave me additional towels the next day and put the note on top of the towels. There were no plates available for the buffet breakfast and they ran out of newspapers; the guests were told that they could buy one at the Gaylord or CVS. There are much better hotels at the National Harbor around the same price range.
“very pleased”
My husband, teenage son and I just returned from a 7 night stay at this hotel in National Harbor- near D.C. I attended a conference at the conference center across the street and the Hampton Inn was very convenient. we loved having breakfast provided at no extra charge each morning. Also, the customer service was superb. We had one incident where our bed linens were changed and replaced with wrong size sheets. We called to front desk at 10:00 p.m. when we discovered it and within 10 mins. someone arrived with another set and helped us put them on the bed. We would definitely stay here again.
“Nice Nite Right Price!”
From booking the Hotel online, to arriving and chicking into our room with in seconds, my experience with the Hampton Inn at the Washington National Harbor was the best I have ever experienced at a Hampton Inn! My Wife and I stayed there for the Weekend to celebrate our 1st anniversay. She really enjoyed the service and the rest she greatly deserved. I would recommend anyone of my friends to this Hotel!.
“Very Nice!”
If you need to stay in Oxon Hill, MD to attend a conference at the Gaylord across the street, this is a great choice. It is much cheaper than the Gaylord. The rooms are larger and well-appointed. It offers a free continental breakfast that changes each day. The staff was very nice and helpful. It's not a good location if you're just visiting DC, as it's expensive to get into the city and somewhat time-consuming either by taxi-Metro or taxi alone but, again, if you want a much cheaper alternative to the expansive luxury Gaylord for a conference there, it's a very good choice.
“I will probably stay here again, but...”
Breakfast service was not up to the standard of previous Hampton Inn stays. It seemed the one-person hostess could not keep up with demand even though the facility was only 51% booked. Otherwise, everything was great--well-located, convenient parking with in and out privileges, well-maintained facility.
“Good deal for conference goers”
EASY walk to the Gaylord, and the rooms are a better deal.
“I will stay in this hotel over the Gaylord 10/10 times! Best staff ever, great rooms!”
I LOVED my stay at the Hampton. Everyone was SO friendly, and absolutely accommodated us. The only request I might add, is that due to the location of this hotel, there are few actual "fast food" locations nearby. It would be nice to have a mini-fridge in each room, as I had leftovers almost every restaurant I visited, however, I had nothing to do with them. Since this location is so near the Gaylord, I have to think many visitors would be in town for business, and could use the fridge, as there's also not really a grocery store nearby either. The staff was fantastic! I can't say enough good things about them, and the facility itself was immaculate. I will stay there 10 out of 10 times if I ever frequent the conference I attended again.
“A Great Value”
I attended a conference at the Gaylord Hotel/Convention Center, but their prices were too expensive. The Hampton Inn was a more affordable option and it was directly across the street from the conference center. I appreciated the daily continental breakfast and friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
“Good hotel”
I stayed here with some friends for a convention. It was a good room and the free breakfast was nice.
“A Terrific Hotel”
The Hampton Inn & Suites National Habor deserves a higher star rating than it has. The hotel was well-maintained, clean throughout, quiet, with spacious rooms, a quality hot breakfast buffet and friendly helpful desk staff. My stay here was throughly enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. All-in-all a 4-star experience.
