“Excellent service. Would return in a heartbeat for pleasure or business.”
I was extremely impressed with the customer service of all staff. I did not like the fact that the receipt for food was not balanced by the waiter and he/she did not include the sales tax. This required that I calculate and then include the tip. Adding up the receipt for food service should be the responsiblity of the waiter/waitress. Food was excellent!
“Very pleasant experience! I look forward to staying there again.”
Very pleasant experience! I look forward to staying there again.
“outrageous”
convenience and comfort luxury accommodations
“Great Hotel, but add on costs a little pricey.”
Self parking is $18.00/day and valet parking is $28.00/day. A small bottle of water is $3.00. Room service is reasonable. The hotel is on the river and only a couple of blocks from the main plaza of National Harbor. Taxes and resort fees are extra beyond the Expedia charge.
“Comfie beds with many amenities and restaurant choices within an easy walk”
Loved hotel and convention facilities (attended 3000+ person conference here); shuttle buses made Smithsonian and other Capital Hill destinations within 30 minute reach; room was very comfortable and clean; food was excellent both during the conference and at the Sports Bar. Highly recommend this destination for your next conference.
“A beautiful hotel!”
My family and I enjoyed a long weekend over Labor Day at the Gaylord and had a fabulous time! In fact, we ended up staying an extra day since no one wanted to leave. Can't wait to go back!
“Family friendly Get-a-Way & also good for Business travelers”
Our family a great stay in this Hotel/Resort. We were down to visit DC for a few days with family & needed an easy access hotel which was family friendly. We were very impressed!!! Staff was courteous & helpful from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. We had 2 different reservations which they quickly combined into one & helped us confirm one of them made earlier that day as not yet in their system. We also got a free upgrade for both the nights we stayed so had a balcony view over-looking the courtyard. Clean rooms, spacious, nicely decorated, updated baths w/ nice Neutrogena bath products. In the morning we choose not to eat buffet brunch but got some nice fresh coffee, bagels, muffins & cinammon buns in the courtyard cafe so we could eat in our room. The pool was probably one of the nicest hotel pools we have been to along with nice gym facilities. We did not want to leave for the rest of our trip to NC cuz all of us LOVED Gaylord. We will very likely plan another trip to DC just to stay @ Gaylords. ~5-10min drive into DC, so easy. Fun Peeps Treasure Hunt for kids all over hotel which led us to Peeps Factory Outlet close to hotel for free gifts - fun surprise. Surrounding neighborhood was nice, clean, quiet & full of restaurants & shops for a nice eve stroll after a long day in DC. Highly recommend this hotel to both families & business travelers. Very impressed! Additional cost was parking $19 + resort fee/wireless in rm $16 = $35 extra/day
“Christmas wonderland”
We have stayed at the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville which is just magical. This one is beautiful but on a much smaller scale than Nashville. Stil,l for our 2 night stay we were very pleased. Eat at the nearby Rosa Mexicana Restaurant - great food and ambiance. Totally safe area; very easy to access from interstate; knew about the resort fee and the parking fee - many upscale hotels charge these. I knew in advance from reading other reviews about these add ons.
“Gaylord in Maryland is Great!”
The Gaylord National is a wonderful facility. We were pleased with everything including the restaurants located in the hotel,
“Nice hotel”
Very nice rooms with double sinks! We had five rooms and was celebrating a birthday and had a great time. The valet parking should be reduced and with in and out privledges. $28 is too high to have it parked outside. I parked in garage across the street which is very close.
