“Best Value Hotel in National Harbor”

Aloft was a very different experience in hotels - and I loved it! The layout of the room and the lobby was inviting and comfortable. The room had all of the amenities that I needed and I especially liked the retro alarm clock. The ability to grab a breakfast or a snack in the lobby was quite convenient and not bad tasting either. Finding the hotel and parking was a bit confusing and challenging (I may have passed by a time or too), while determining that the lobby was on the second floor (above a totally barren first floor) was a little different.

“Great area”

This hotel is in a great new area outside DC. We could relax and feel like we were at a resort in this mixed use development. The taxi to DC was convenient.

“Aloft Hotel”

This is not the traditional boring mid-price American hotel experience. I feel that it delivers a good value. The hotel experience is probably aimed at a younger crowd and has a more cutting edge style which I liked. If IKEA was a hotel, it would be something like this. The only thing that they could easily do better is offer better storage options for your clothing. A couple of drawers or storage baskets to sort your personal items is not too much to ask. This is not luxury accommodations for a vacation with a spouse but, overall, I wouldn't hesitate to come back for a business trip traveling on my own.

“Aloft DC”

Aloft was a nice modern option. The staff was very helpful and the location in National Harbor was right in the middle- an easy walk to any location, including Gaylord Convention Center. My only negative was that I felt the beds were too hard and pillows too soft which made for poor sleep. That latter point is more subjective so I wouldnt let that deter you. Overall, great staff, eclectic venue and convenient location.

“Fun, Modern, Remote”

The hotel is has a refreshing, contemporary character throughout; the clean, convenient rooms are small but well designed, like being on a yacht. The only trouble with this hotel is its location in National Harbor. It's convenient only if you are attending a conference at Gaylord National, but otherwise there would be no reason at all to choose a hotel in this isolated, out-of-the-way, far-from-everything bend in the river.

“Washington Harbor Aloft”

Hotel was nice & casual. Workout room was fine but pool was way too small. Room was not big but was big enough and looked cool. Lobby bar looked nice but there appeared to be no happy hour specials. The reception desk was unaware of any specials. Surrounding area is pretty nice. In the summer it is probably lots of fun. The entire area seems very new. It is like a new mall.

“Contemporary with view”

The hotel room was very contemporary yet comfortable and the view from the open air lounge area was great. The National Harbor neighborhood was a great place to stay. We had a small issue with housekeeping service on one day but our visit was otherwise enjoyable.

“Aloft: National Harbor”

Just stayed for two nights for convention. Rooms are small but clean. Not much space for hanging clothes. Sort of barebones with no ice bucket and only one water bottle for two people. 3 star at best.
