We booked for a week, it was partly business and partly pleasure. We have stayed in other five stars hotels in Mumbai, we found the Taj way ahead of the others. Everything from checking in, breakfast, room service, politeness of staff was excellent. In particular I was impressed by the breakfast services provided by Melwyn and his team. They were aware of our choices and made perfect masala tea for us.
I stayed at the Fariyas Mumbai for 2 days alongwith my wife and 2 year old daughter. The best thing about the hotel is the staff. I have stayed at various hotels accross the world, but would rate the staff in this hotel as world class.
The ambience of the hotel is old world and is very nice. Though the rooms are a bit tired, it is very well compensated by the spirit of the hotel. Another good thing, is that it is in Colaba (Hub of Mumbai) and still far away from the maddening crowd. The view from the room was amazing. We could see the ships pass by.
The Food was Excellent and the team went out of the way to help us wiht our small small requests. My daugther loved the breakfast spread at the hotel.
Thank You for the wonderful vacation.
I always stay at this hotel when i visit Mumbai. The location is excellent and it has a wonderful roof garden to wind down the day with ice cold Kingfisher and a panoramic view of the city. Great place to watch both sunrise and sunset,

For the rate paid I got a very comfortable and clean room with a friendly staff and cuisine I really enjoyed. For me the location was perfect - right at the corner of the street in Colaba I wanted to be at - close to the water and where everyone is walking the streets late into the night
I stayed here in Sept 2014 for a night with my fiancé. It was a very good experience. The room was of 5 start quality with every possible amenities available in the room, I was amazed to see everything in there. My fiancé loved it all :-) The morning breakfast was very good, right from Indian menu (On Demand) to continental menu were available.
The only disappointment was that, I used their Computer/Desktop with internet facility for my office work purpose, they charged me extra for that with per hour usage rate wherein the internet speed was very poor because of which it took me 1 hour for 15 mins of work! I think this kind of facility should be free of cost at such hotels!
Anyway, the overall experience was very good, I would definitely come to this place again when I visit Mumbai next.

This hotel was a pleasent surprise. Very well situated, friendly staff who went out of their way to help us and the rooftop bar/resteraunt was magical after sunset. Our room on the 4th floor was comfortable with much needed AC.
Remember to explore both left and right along the waterfront as you walk out the door for some interesting sites.
Great location close to everything. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The TV is programmed to receive only Arabic language channels. I can't speak Arabic so couldn't watch TV. But that's ok because there are so many ways to enjoy Mumbai; no point sitting inside and watching TV.
Whilst the hotel is very centrally located for shopping ,the Taj Hotel and the
Gateway to India, iit is also quiet - a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitation recommending this very reasonably priced hotel
It was a very enjoyable stay here. The staff bent over backwards to help with anything especially "Timothy Dalton" and Mr Nazareth on the front desk. Its in a good location close to everything and reasonably priced
