“could do with a lick of paint”

Good position on front overlooking glorious beach, but compromise is the noisy road. Chose a no smoking bedroom area, but occupants of other rooms smoked on their balconies. Public areas look like they have been updated, but bedroom paint and furnishing was a bit tired and could do with brightening up. Stayed there from 28/6-5/7 so season just starting and crowds and noise got bigger as the week progressed. All night disco just down the road on Saturday night still going on at 7am on Sunday when we left to travel back to Lisbon. Resort still has a personality even though it is large. Good Portuguese food, but nothing is cheap with the Euro at the moment. Explore back streets of older part of the town and wonderful fruit/fish market if you are self catering
