This historic hotel was once a castle and although it has been modernized, it still captures the beauty of the architecture and the bar/pub has medieval appointments and amazing ceiling! We only got to spend one night here but would have loved to have stayed longer
If you are looking for a place on a budget where you can still get a decent night's sleep then look no further. The staff who run the guest house are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I had never stayed in Dublin on my own before but I was made to feel at home straight away. I was given a lot of advice about Dublin in general which helped a great deal. The room itself was of a good standard with a comfortable bed. It was warm and cosy. For the price you would find it difficult to get something much better. I would definitely stay again and would recommend the place to others. The location is not too far out of the city centre with a regular bus service right outside the guest house.

The Bellgrove is an award winning family-run B&B in a great location in Ireland’s capital city of Dublin. This single story …More
Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at the Bram Stoker a few weeks ago! Located in Clontarf, a coastal suburb north of Dublin, the Bram Stoker exceeded our expectations. We parked our car for free (you don't want to drive in Dublin!) and went to the registration desk where we found a sign to seek out check-in help at the gastropub out front. Not a problem-- there we found LeeAnn who was the most helpful person we encountered in Ireland. She gave us loads of tips for our stay and was very kind and accommodating. Our kids loved catching the double decker bus just out front for the short commute into the city (with free WIFI) and learning about the history of the Clontarf coast where the famous Viking Battle of Clontarf took place in 1014! The rooms were cosy and clean and the food in the gastropub was delicious. After staying in several hotels across Europe (some fancier than others), my daughter said her favorite was the Bram Stoker because of the overall experience - and I agree.
