Before booking my 5 rooms for our late Christmas party, I called the hotel and asked if the pool was open. The employee said yes, I asked if it would be closed for anything and he said no. I explained I wanted to make sure before I booked all the rooms (the date was also given of our stay). So on the day of the stay, we go there, pay for our room which was on the 2nd floor…. I paid for poolside (which tells me, the pool is outside my door, but instead I get a 2nd floor room). I was also informed the rest of the rooms were on the 2nd floor but if I wait I can get the first floor. After unpacking the cars and bringing our stuff in, we were then told the pool was closed! I was not happy and my grandchildren were disappointed! I was very disappointed and upset! There has to be better communication with the hotel if this were ever to happen again! A discount or breakfast vouchers just won’t do, especially when the purpose of going to this hotel was to get away from the cold, swim and enjoy family time. ☹️
