“Nice pool!”

This is the second time my husband (and now new baby!!) and I stayed in this hotel. Our favorite thing about the hotel is the gorgeous little pool overlooking the lake on the back of the property. Both times we have gone we've had the pool to ourselves for days-- so relaxing & fun! The owners are also very nice and personable. This is a value-priced hotel, so of course you are not going to get fancy plush robes or luxurious soaps with your room. My only two small complaints about the hotel are (1) the carpet seems very dirty- it is a dark color, but once you walk around on it in your socks, your socks turn black on the bottom and (2) we had some very tiny bugs crawling all over our bathroom floor. This was cleaned up once during our three night stay, but the bugs came back by day 3.

“Good off-season value”

For a small town hotel, the Regency isn't that bad. The rooms have always been clean and the staff friendly. Situated right on Clear Lake, the hotel fills up rapidly during the summer months (and the room rate jumps as well, as do all of the other area hotels, if you can find one available). Overall, it is easy to get to, quiet, reasonably priced, has a friendly staff and located right in the center of town.

“WIll definitely go back”

We picked this hotel because others were sold out for our big getaway weekend. Afterall, it had only a 1 1/2 star rating. Well, I must say, ratings can be deceiving. This hotel was not perfect, but it was a great deal better than some we've stayed at with 4 star ratings! The room was clean and the service good. The best feature is the dock on the lake. Great fishing, great central location. Overall, great weekend. We know where to stay on our next visit!!

“Good for the money”

Rooms are kinda musty and the ice machine was broke down, otherwise everything was fine.

“Nice hotel right next to the lake!”

The room did not have a direct view of the lake, however you could step out of the room towards the swimming pool area which is right next to the lake. Amazing way to spend early mornings.

“Didn't have a choice”

The hotel honestly was not that bad... I am just used to staying in nicer hotels. All the hotels in the area were booked because of various special events. The shower didn't work, water dribbled out, so I had to wash my hair in the bathtub...

“Bare bones but clean and friendly”

Bare bones but clean and friendly, we were visiting friends in Lakeport for 4th od July BBQ and booked this place for sleeping purposes only. Served just fine: everything working, clean, firm bed and decent pillows. Yes, no design or nice colors and it is outdated, but therefore is the price and easy to book last minute before major holiday. Will use again for the same purpose - to sleep in only.

“Not impressed”

The motel owners were having an extremely verbal argument when we arrived. We were not given the right room at first and had to pack up our belongings and move to another room. They gave us non-smoking instead of smoking. There was a cleaning rag left on the sink. We had to request ashtrays and a map of the town since there were none in the room. The beds were very comfortable and there was little noise at night. However, we would not stay there again.
