This is a nice hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. Location is convenient, and access is easy.
The main room and sheets and carpet were clean, bathroom was clean and water was plenty hot. On the minus side, I did notice that in my room the door safety lever was broken, so I could use only the deadbolt. The TV set was nice (flatscreen LG, around 42"), Internet bandwidth was decent (7 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload), plenty of parking spots, good restaurants nearby within walking distance (Applebee's is right next door), they serve free breakfast in the morning, good selection of continental, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, scambled & boiled eggs, pancakes & sausage.
I'd stay there again.
We needed a hotel that was close to the University of Maryland since our granddaughter was moving in to begin her freshman year at the University. I would recommend this hotel if you're visiting College Park area since the rooms are really nice, clean and the staff couldn't be nicer. The staff was very accommodating. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting that area. The breakfast buffet was a great deal for $15 per person all you can eat. My husband and I were in the newly renovated part of the hotel and it was wonderful. I just wished we had more time to spend there so we could enjoy more of the amenities. My daughter, her husband and my 15 year old grandson stayed there also in the other building and they said that they had a wonderful experience. The only problem is that it is very difficult to book room there. My suggestion is that you book months in advance since it is well worth it. When we return to Maryland to visit our granddaughter, I am definitely going to try to book well in advance. I give it a 5 star rating.
We had a pleasant two nights stay. The hotel facilities are good and the staff are very helpful. Breakfast is also good. Wifi signals in for the room are weak but are strong near the lobby. It is indeed a value for money stay for my family.
"Good basic accommodations at an affordable price"
My four-night stay at Ramada Limited, College Park, was excellent. The room was clean, quiet, and in nearly perfect order (with a tiny exception of a noisy bathroom fan), the maid service left the room in impeccable condition each day, and the free continental breakfast was very good with an array of bagels, commercial cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and coffee. I found many guests taking advantage of the continental breakfast, and with good reason. Most important, I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful in helping me with bus schedules and driving directions. The room and service were perfect for my needs, and I paid an exceptionally competitive price, the best with only a single exception that I could find in the College Park area. On this occasion, at least, it would be hard to beat Ramada Limited's accommodations for me.
Daughter took her MCAT at Landrover, MD (10mins drive from the hotel). I took 2 separate rooms for 2 nights so she can relax and rest her mind before taking the exams. I was so thankful they gave us the rooms all the way to the end-very peaceful and quite. To that person who assigned us the rooms-a special thank you from us-you exactly know what we needed. Staffs are very nice and professionals; rooms/bathrooms/showers are very clean and smell nice; beds are comfortable- hubby and I slept like babies for two nights (did not hear each other's snoring); towels are thick, super white and sufficient-we have extras all the time; ref/microwave/coffee maker are clean and ready to use; corridors are well lighted, quiet and very clean, carpets don't smell; free hot breakfast-plenty of choices every morning 6-10am. Free newspapers, coffees/teas/hot cocos, apples/bananas at the lobby. Flat screen TV (always on) and plenty of seats/tables at the lobby. Main entrance is locked at night, only guests can enter by using their cards. 24hr IHOP next door and shopping mall nearby. I love the rooms' privacy cards, just slip it in the card slots and no one will bother you.
This hotel was in a great location. Close to the Metro for a visit to Washington DC. It's also close to Baltimore. We were in the area for college visits so it was very convenient. The staff was fantastic. We called for two items and they were delivered to our door almost as soon as I hung up the phone. Our plans changed at the last minute and the front desk was able to accomodate our change - thank you so much. If our child attends a school near this hotel, we will always stay at the Residence Inn in Greenbelt, MD.
