This is our 2nd stay at this hotel in the center of the city. Our first visit was in 2010; location and comfort were the reasons Weisses Kreuz was our only consideration for our visit of October 30 thru November 1 2014. The hosts at reception are very welcoming, and eager to answer questions about things to see and do in Innsbruck. We appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea in the reception area, and the breakfast buffet we enjoyed each morning was excellent. The room was very comfortable and quiet, as well as clean and tastefully decorated.

We went to Innsbruck to sample the Christmas markets and we could not have picked a hotel in a better situation. We opted for a de luxe room and were given one on the top floor with a balcony, so we had views (somewhat obstructed by other buildings) of the mountains on three sides. The staff were very polite and helpful and were always very keen to please, the hotel does not have kettles in the rooms, we asked for one and it duly arrived. The restaurant is incredibly popular with the locals, so if you intend to dine in the hotel, I recommend that you reserve a table in advance. We dined there once when we had an excellent meaI of local specialities. If I go back to Innsbruck, I will stay here again.

I thought it would not be as close to the old city as it was. Easy to find and close to everything. Disappointed that the restaurant at the hotel wasn't open the night I was there. Kind of expensive, but it is worth the cost.

"perfect location, good price, but expect a hostel"
The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was simple yet lovely. The rooms were very hot, but a fan was provided. The location is perfect - and there is a nice children's park across the street, so it's great if you have kids. The noise from the street was pretty serious, but we just shut the window and turned the fan on and it blocked out most of the noise.
Only two thing negative. The first is not the fault of the hotel. When we woke up to leave in the morning at about 8AM, the two men in the room next to us were sleeping completely nude with their door wide open. My 5 year old was a little shocked - as was I to be honest. But, again, not the fault of the hotel itself. The second issue was that the hotel owner had put my reservation in on the wrong day and so, thinking I was a no show, charged the room to my credit card. On the actual day I checked out I came to pay cash and she told me there error. This resulted in me having to pay extra credit card fees and just generally was annoying as I prefer to pay for everything in cash and only use my card when necessary. Not a huge deal, but annoying.
So, basically, this is a kind of hostel. It is a great place if you are planning on enjoying the town, the mountains, the restaurants, and the area and just want somewhere to crash at the end of the day. I would book again!

Great hotel and staff. Upon arrival and throughout the stay every staff member I came into contact with was very accommodating and nice, even asking how my day was after touring the city using their recommendations. Hotel room was very nice for the price with a great view having a room on the backside of the building (I recommend asking for one on the backside). Will stay here again next time I visit Innsbruck.
We stayed in two adjacent rooms which were comfortable, clean and well maintained.
We visited all but one of the Christmas Markets and found them fun and lively in the evenings.
The Alpenzoo is great for children containing species indigenous to the area.
Transportation around the area is readily available and reasonably priced, including the taxis.
