I was impressed by all aspects of the hotel. Great location, very friendly staff. The room was very nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and sheets. Nice bathroom. Beautiful common areas and great food. I had to leave a day early and gave the hotel very shirt notice but they did not charge me.
We have stayed at Hazlitt's 4x before, and therfore nbeen in many of the rooms. we love being in the heart of Soho, which is abuzz 24/7, and we love Hazlitts' easy manner (the great staff), disdain for guests (Sir Geoffrey the resident ginger cat), and the rooms which have all been great, and all have a quirky charm of their own.
After a lot of traveling, I came to the Haymarket for one night before flying back home. The room was fantastic, the location perfect, the service magnificent and the bar an oasis for the weary traveller.

We spent our first night as newly-weds in this hotel. Everything in the hotel was excellent; friendly and helpful staff, a lovely room on a quiet street in a beautiful neighbourhood, elegant interior design, lovely complementary toiletries, a fantastic breakfast.
However, the rooms are pricey, so for the price we paid there were a couple of things that I think they could improve:
- Our telephone wasn't working, which is inconvenient when you're on a 3rd floor without a lift (we had to go down and then up again to order breakfast in bed to the lobby). They did apologise profusely for this, as apparently it had just happened that morning... and the breakfast at the end was really nice!
- The room was a little cold (the air-con was on when we arrived), and since the windows don't open a lot it was hard to get rid of the cold air.
- The bed consisted of 2 single mattresses made into one bed; this meant that, albeit the bed being massive, the centre part was not very comfortable.
Overall however it is a lovely little hotel, so much nicer than going to a chain hotel... we were very glad that we chose this hotel for our wedding night!

The hotel was excellent and we would return on another visit. We found the restaurants in the hotel did not have enough casual or light dining. A coffee shop style facility would have been a welcome addition so we could pop in for a light snack in the evening. Otherwise the hotel was superb.

I was in London last week for business and randomly chose the ME on Expedia. I didn't really know what to expect. Immediately upon arrival I began to realize what an stellar lodging I had stumbled upon. Modern, clean, chic, sexy -- those are just a few words I would use to describe the place.
The reception desk is located within a massive pyramid of stone extending up 9 stories to a skylight. In the evenings, they have a reception there and project an amazing lightshow up onto the walls. It is really cool!!
There is a FANTASTIC rooftop restaurant featuring a terrace offering amazing views of London. It was a great spot for entertaining my clients.
A note on the staff -- they were all so nice and accommodating. At first one might think that because they are all young and beautiful and wearing mostly black that they might be snobby, but that was not at all the case. They all seemed to have a relaxed ease and were perfectly in-tune with making everything just right for their guests.
If you are looking for something traditional or a place to stay with young children this may not be a good fit -- as I said before, it is modern, chic and sexy. Not that children wouldn't enjoy themselves - it just seemed to be a very adult-oriented kind of place.

I wouldn't stay in any other hotel in London now after staying at the Wellesley. The staff are so helpful and went out of their way to make my daughter's birthday special. Rooms are lovely and have everything you could want. Just an all round lovely hotel.
In a word - special, its a Grand Hotel with all the flourishes and service of the grand hotels, and yet its kept pace with the world as well. Its breathtaking, a spectacle and a place you are made to feel welcome and special.
