Great location, close to train

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Pros: Staff was excellent and very helpful
Cons: We had 3 rooms and one of the rooms did not have a working air conditioner. Complained about it the first night
Very new, clean hotel in a great location. 10 minute walk to the train and very short train ride to Cinque Terra. Levanto was a very nice town to visit as well. Staff was helpful and always available for shuttle to town or train.

A descent base for Cinque Terre.

Posted 06-Jul-2014
Pros: Good food at breakfast and dinner. Nice views of the valley that surrounds Levanto, though the hotel does not offer ocean views.
Cons: Air conditioning. Room decor. Quietness. Fresh towels for pool or beach should be made available.
Location: 15 minute walk from train station and 20 minute walk from town. Staff will drive you if they can.
The hotel was very modest in layout and decor but adequate. For the price paid, you would expect much, much more. Our room was large but the walls were very thin, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The staff was pleasant and helpful but I found myself having to negotiate with them every night to turn on the air conditioning and get it to a sufficiently cool level. The air conditioning was centrally controlled. WiFi wasn't fast but it was functional. Overall, the hotel is not a four star by international standards but it is comfortable enough to act as a base to explore Cinque Terre.

Quiet Elegance

Posted 05-Jul-2014
Pros: It is beautiful and the staff is friendly.
Location: We took a boat tour of the Cinque Terre area, then rode the train back (be sure to validate your ticket before boarding to avoid the fine we got).
If you can get a rate you can afford, this hotel is awesome. I found dinner to be overpriced for what was served, but I didn't want to drive back into town. Breakfast was included, and it was wonderful. The room was large and had wonderful amenities. I would have liked to have arrived earlier to take advantage of the spa available free of charge. It is only available for a few hours in the afternoon. The hotel's shuttle took us to the pier and picked us up at the train station. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Great for Cinque Terra

Posted 17-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Room was very spacious and balcony quite large as we were on bottom floor so it was great. Breakfast even had gluten free things for me. Quiet place on hillside, 8-10 minute walk from rail station and town. No work out facility and pool large but extremely cold even on hot days it needed to be at least 5 degrees warmer or more. Hard to swim or even get in and we had 90 degree F weather and end of the day after hiking around hills we wanted to have a nice relaxing swim in pool and second day we could not or did not want to get in. Take boat to see Cinque Terra cities and the hotel drives you down there. Definitely eat at Moresco local restaurant with great food and prices where locals eat

Found a gem

Posted 20-May-2014 on Hotels.com
We only found this gem because of hotels. Com. Every employee was sincere and service minded. Advantage of owner operator. Team could not be more thoughtful and helpful. Appeared to know what we needed before we needed it. Only issue was we did not have more time to stay there . We travel a lot but this is a quiet luxury that I have not found anywhere else. My wife daughter and I loved this place.

Lovely, new hotel

Posted 23-Aug-2013 on Hotels.com
Great hotel, spa, staff. Close to town but access back is quite steep - hotel staff will drive you) first night, we walked down and went to dinner by the water. When we called for pickup, they said no because there was a parade and they couldn't get to our location. It was our first night, we were lost and had to find our way back and trudge up the long hill back. It was not their fault, but they could have given a little more help in getting us back. Also our view was of the train station, no water views at all. Levanto is great.

Lovely

Posted 01-Jul-2013 on Hotels.com
An absolutely lovely hotel. Levanto is a real town and an ideal base to visit the Cinque Terre from- near but not touristy. The hotel is up a steep hill from town but there is a hotel shuttle. Rooms are spotless and the well appointed with good sized beds and balconies. Staff are lovely and hotel restaurant served pleasant meals.Pool nice if a little cool. Plenty of loungers which were especially comfy

An amazing find!!!

Posted 26-Jun-2013 on Hotels.com
Our original reservations fell thru in Monterosso, and we ended up choosing the Park Hotel Argento at the last minute. We were SO SO glad we did! It was a spectacular find! The staff was superb, and the hotel is appointed with every last comfort... We traveled with our two children--ages 8 and 12, and they fit right in. The place was not crowded with kids, but they felt very welcome. They even offered several games in the lounge, so we had several nights of Jenga! The breakfast is also top notch. The walk to town--about 8-10 mins was actually very enjoyable--it gave us an authentic sense of ghe community. And, if we were too tired to walk, they would drive us as well. We will absolutely return!!! Many thanks!!

Convenient Location

Posted 09-Jun-2013 on Hotels.com
Most of the hotels in the Cinque Terre area are very small due to the old towns. We stayed in the suite which was very spacious and to give our 2 year old plenty of room to run around in. The location is we found was very convenient with very easy access to the town centre and train station to easily get to the 5 small towns. Although everything is walking distance, the hotel also provides a drop off and pick up service from the train station and to the centre of town which was great for us and our little one. The wellness centre was vey relaxing and the pool was beautiful overlooking the mountains and the town centre.
