“Hidden Gem”

We stayed in the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson,Wilder, KY for 2 nights in Nov. 2011 and were impressed. This place was quiet, very clean and had super comfortable beds. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The hotel had complimentary fresh baked cookies, candy , apples and various hot tea s and coffee everyday. The complimentary breakfast was substantial and there was a wide variety of food options. The pool is large and a hot tub is also available. I was disappointed there were no computers to use. However, there is free wifi. They also have many dvds that you can sign out for viewing. It was a nice option if you could not find anything on TV to watch. I will definitely stay here again!!

Must see
We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Wilder in order to visit Cincinatti. It was only a 15 minute drive to the downtown area where we were touring. The Cincinatti Museum is a must see. The cafe there serves excellent lunches. With a food or store purchase of $10.00 parking is free. There is no entrance fee. We also visited Krohn Conservatory and walked in Eden Park.

“surprising”

I reserved my room in anticipation of a quick trip back from the WEBN fireworks show & was extremely impressed. From the pleasant desk clerk to a tasty breakfast bar the next morning. I will be on the look out for Country Inns in every town I stay in. The night before I stayed at the Netherland Hilton downtown Cincy which I would give a 3 compared to a 10 at Country Inns...

“Will definately stay again!”

I stayed at this hotel during a training school for a week. It was a great value. Close to the interstate, close to fast food and Kroger. Wonderful staff and clean!

“Could be much better!”

The room could have been much better with a little maintenance. The bathroom fan didn't work, so the room became a sauna whenever you took a shower. The coffee pot was in the bathroom (not the best idea!) and it was missing a shower mat. The pool was nice, however it was over-chlorinated. Our 9 year old had a great time though. Unfortunately, we had extremely loud neighbors. They partied until 2:30 AM. A phone call to the desk was useless. Put a damper on the stay. Could use more work on the continental breakfast. I am sure it was wonderful at 6:30, but by 8:30 they were out of bagels, donuts and juice. With some work, this could be very nice.

Area recommendations
This location was close to Cincy. We went to the Creation Museum in KY, the Newport Aquarium and Union Station in Cincy. Convenient to all locations and close to restaurants and shopping.

“What A Suprise”

I don't know how long this hotel has been there. almost 10 years I Think, but it is still looking new. I had a room on the 1st floor it had a microwave & ref. and was vwry quite. I plan to use this hotel on all my visits to the cincinatti area.

“Pleasant experience”

The hotel could be identified before getting to it better. It was difficult to see its location. The staff was extremely courteous and it was a very nice stay!

“Home away from home.”

From check in to check out our stay was everything I expected and then some. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The hotel was decorated for christmas and was beautiful. I will definitely be back!

“Great Place for Extended Stay”

This hotel was very nice and loaded with ammenities we didn't have a chance to take advantage of, as we were just there overnight. We will be likely to stay again next time we are in the Cincinnati area for an extended time.

“EXCELLENT HOTEL - HIGHLY RECOMMEND - QUIET ROOM”

This Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Wilder, Kentucky is a wonderful place to stay. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the place was clean and very well maintained. The Hot Tub was very nice and is open till Midnight which was great for us. (The only down side was the Pool was closed for repair - and my partner was disappointed) THE ROOM WAS QUIET!!!! The breakfast was delicious and adaquate including Eggs, Bacon & Sausage as well as a Do-it-youself Waffle Iron. Along with Boiled Eggs & fresh Fruit and Juices. Coffee was good. Our Room was very comfortable and the view was beautiful - very peaceful and serene. The King sized Bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the use of it. I plan to stay here again, on my return trips to the area. I was totally satisfied! (Can you tell?) ;-)

Traveller's tip
Only minutes to Wal-Mart, Meijer's and good Restaurants including a Waffle House about a mile. Go to "NEWPORT" and visit the Shopping center and the Aquarium. We spent a whole day there and really enjoyed the atmosphere. That night we ate "on the water" at Joe's Crab Shack and we had a wonderful view of the Cincinnati Sky Line! The Movie Theater next door was nice. The Dairy Queen would be a nice treat for those who enjoy it.

“Worth the Money”

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Breakfasts in the morning were much more than donuts & coffee. All areas were kept clean and neat. Definitely not a Ritz or Radisson, but an excellent family hotel.
