We loved our stay at Palazzo Ferraioli. It was only one night, but the room was beautiful and the hotel was very cool. I was a bit unsure of staying in Atrani as I had no experience with the Amalfi Coast. It was perfect for us. It's an easy walk to Amalfi, which is busy and touristy, and a manageable ride from Salerno. We had a private car take us to the hotel and the driver called so someone would meet us and help get our luggage up the steps (yes, there are a lot of them). I recommend the ferry from Amalfi as a way to avoid traffic and windy roads as that is how we got back to Salerno.
We stayed at Luna Convento in the middle of October 2014. We had an amazing and unforgettable time. Very nice hotel and the yard inside was a beautiful place to have a drink in the evening.
The breakfast tables had stunning views over Amalfi and very good choice of food. Our room was a bit tired and the bathroom needed modernizing but stunning views over the sea and Amalfi.
The swimming pool was excellent and a great location to sunbathe.
The Tower restaurant across the street was great.
We had a wonderful week in fabulous autumn sunshine at Villa San Michele: we loved our large, airy room with a great private terrace directly over the sea. The hotel is built into the cliff below the coast road (no traffic noise), with stupendous views from every room and in every direction, but is not one for people with poor mobility - there are about 350 steps (no lift) from the entrance, down through pretty gardens past the 12 bedrooms, to a super bathing platform with steps into the sea. Owner family and their staff all warm, friendly and helpful - great home-cooked food in the restaurant. You are about 5 minutes walk along quite a busy road from Atrani, nice little village, and another 10 minutes to Amalfi, touristy but very attractive, and starting point for lovely boat trips. Glorious Ravello is a tough but beautiful climb uphill, or buses stop directly outside the hotel. Highly recommended - hope to return one day!

We spent 6 days exploring the Amalfi coast, easily, as this hotel is a short walk to the buses and ferries.Antonella was extremely helpful with everything from phone calls to private transfers. The room was good and the breakfast was varied with great coffee.

From the moment we set foot in Sharon House we were made welcome. The lady who did the rooms told us we could leave our luggage and return after 2p.m. We had lunch, had a look round some shops and then checked in. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They even had tea and coffee making facilities which was great. We were able to make our own drinks. At breakfast there was a good selection and plenty to eat. Once we told the lady how we liked our coffee it was the same every time.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Amalfi. If I go back that is the place I will stay. Such nice people and so central for the town. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Very helpful and friendly hotel, in excellent position if you want to really feel "amongst It" - backs onto lovely square, close to everything - ideal if you want a truly authentic Amalfi experience, away from the big hotels.

This is a gem of a hotel. Staff were lovely, breakfast each day on the terrace was fresh & delightful. Balcony doors opened onto busy square below, adding to atmosphere and this could be blocked out at night by closing double glazeed shutters. Our only complaint was noise transmission through a door adjoining another hotel room. When we mentioned this to hotel staff they were sympathetic and said they had both talked to the room occupants and ordered a replacement door.
