Exceptional service, attention to every small detail, great location, beautiful room... we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back. Dinner at Pierre was fabulous and JB the manager helpful and accommodating as well.
Hotel staff is extremely professional and friendly. They were efficient and service oriented and gave attention to every detail. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel rooms are like mini apartments and I loved being in my room after a day out. There were no amenities spared and the flatscreens, bathrooms, livingrooms, you name it - made you feel at home. Downstairs is Zuma - an excellent restaurant I have been to in both London and Dubai - and amazing shops. I would highly recommend hotel.
The Pottinger is in the heart of Hong Kong. Just walk out the front door (Stanley Street) and you will be in the center of the HK universe! Also, remember that the hotel is NOT on Queen Street; not sure why that address is even listed. There is no Google street view of the hotel facade, but it is adjacent to the stone steps. The hotel has a fast elevator. The staff were always very willing to help with touristy info. Very friendly! The room was super clean. The only complaint we have is that the breakfast service in the restaurant was very slow...not enough servers/cooks apparently. All the adjacent construction noise we had read about had ceased when we were there. The subway station was very close. There was a fairly close bakery also that had wonderful egg tarts (the best in the world)...as you walk out the front door of the hotel, turn right and go a few blocks and ask a local where the Tai Cheong Bakery is...maybe the hotel staff would know the specific location...we asked a local. The hotel also had a Nespresso machine in the room. We would stay there again...location was really great.
absolutely can't beat the location
no frills and small (that is part of its charm) but all you need is a clean bed and bathroom, the double room had was great for one, probably squeasy for two. try and get a room facing towards the peak, better light and layout.
We arrived in Hong Kong for our 30th wedding anniversary - with no luggage (thank you BA). The hotel support, sympathy and practical help was first rate. This epitomised the caring ethos of all the staff we came across. In a 5 star hotel with the reputation of the Four Seasons you expect excellent decor, facilities and location. However what set this hotel on a completely different plane was the superb staff. From the helpful concierge, the reception staff, the doormen, the Guest Experience Manager, those in the lounge restaurant - all had the time to talk, engage, support and advise to a level we have never come across in our lives. Thank you so much all those who helped us.

Excellent location in the heart of restaurants, cafes and bars. The staff (especially the concierge!) were extremely helpful. The room was clean, well appointed and larger than expected. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The staff stored our suitcases after checkout for the day so we could sight see, and then gave us access to the gym to shower and change before we left for the airport.
I found this hotel to be well suited during my relatively short stay in HK (approx. 5days). I found the staff to be extremely friendly and most accommodating, allowing me to check in as early as 7am instead of the normal 2pm. It helped that my room was already available when I arrived so it was nice to be able to rest after a long flight in. Thank you to the staff who made me feel at home. Will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is located conveniently between two subway stations, and is in a charming area with many eateries, restaurants and quaint shops. Hotel guests are even provided with a mobile phone with local network at no cost, and it even allows one to make international calls to a few countries free of charge. The room is small but comfortable and has everything one needs.
