What an amazingily fab hotel. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we checked out the experience of staying at this hotel was completely top notch. Nothing was too much bother for the staff. The room we had was on the small side, but hey you don't go on holiday to stay in your hotel room the entire holiday. The bed & pillows was comfortable and the bathroom was great. We were impressed with the room service options and they do make a fab hotel chocolate and their fruit platter is perfect. We will definitely be staying at The Marque on our next trip to Christchurch and most definitely will be recommending The Marque to friends and family!

I chose Marque Hotel after staying in Rendezvous Hotel (same chain as Marque) in Adelaide, Australia few months earlier. I was very happy with my choice. As a solo traveler I always look for modern, clean and conveniently located place to stay. The Marque Hotel had everything I needed during my visit..

“So convenient to Downtown Christchurch”

We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location, and with the valet parking free, we felt like celebrities. Everything about the stay was more than satisfactory. It was great.

An excellent hotel in a great location, the rooms are very comfortable with all the modern facilities, the large bed was very comfortable and the shower superb. The staff were friendly and very helpful the room service was excellent. I have stayed at many of the big name hotels and paid a lot more for a lot less. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend this hotel to anyone, and will most certainly stay there again.

“Christchurch's bet value hotel”

We stay two nights. This was an excellent experience. Very welcoming and helpfull reception desk. Although the room was compact there was plenty of space and the bathroom was excellent. Obviously a very new hotel and everthing was in first class order. Nice linen on the beds. My wife and I use low pillows and the hotel arranged for a change of pillows the second night after we requested them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very central.

“Nicest location”

The Marque Hotel in Christchurch is situated in an ideal location for strolling around this lovely town. Although there have been some businesses closed due to the recent earthquake, the town itself is still well worth a visit. The hotel is in great shape. There was a crack in the plaster from the quake that I'm sure they have fixed by now. We were able to climb the cathedral tower and view the city. New Zealand is great and the Marque Hotel in Christchurch was a great way to begin our trip.

“BEST place in Christchurch!”

This hotel was beautiful, brand-new, within walking distance of the heart of the city, and provided exceptional service. The staff was amazing and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. We stayed at 11 different places in NZ and this was the top! Best rates too. They have free internet (wireless) in the lobby and a business lounge with computers which had free internet as well as printing. Free local calls too. The rooms were tastefully decorated. This is a must-stay hotel for any trip to Christchurch! They have a beautiful lobby with a very contemporary fireplace as well. The only draw-back: $15/night for parking. The rates were excellent though. We stayed two nights and LOVED it! Beds and linens were very nice. You will not be disappointed!

“Very stylish and immaculate”

Located about a 15 minute drive from the airport and fight next to the main downtown attractions. Valet parks your car and returns it to you. Beautifully decorated, stylish rooms, quite small by North Americanstandards, however they are so nice. Glass shower, lovely tile floor in bathroom and styish decor. Nicest hotel I stayed in in New Zealand. Stayed here twice this trip and will be staying here next year for sure !

“Good hotel - with challenging parking”

We found the Marque to be a well presented hotel, if not a little small. It had all the amenities you would expect - including a most comfortable King Size bed and a fabulous shower! The staff on Reception and the Bar were very helpful and cheerful. The only issue we had was with the parking.... being in the city is a challenge to find space to park, and we found that if there were more than 2 cars trying to park or unpack luggage at the same time then you had to be prepared to wait. Otherwise a lovely hotel (shame about the recent cracking to the otherwise very well decorated rooms)
