The caring service and follow-up at this hotel were super! I needed a shower stool and had neglected to ask for a handicap equipped room. The hotel was full. Within minutes of arriving in our room, housekeeping was knocking at the door with a chair that worked perfectly in our shower. We were impressed!

We had great time and good experience in this hotel:) Stuff was very kind and helpful.I even asked for new bedding for all beds after 1 night and i got it straight away.No fuss at all. It was one of the cleanest hotel that we stayed in here on New Zealand. Would gladly recommend and we will come again for sure:)

“Great location”

This hotel is wonderfully situated - right next to the cathedral in the middle of Chrischurch. The room overlooked the sqare and was new and well set out. We did not use any of the hotels dining facilities but two other guests we met commented on how good breakfast was (they had inclusive deals, we didn't ). There are many restaurants in walking distance to this hotel. I would stay there again.

“Free Technology a Winner”

Novotel Christchurch provided great service with a very efficient check-in and pleasant staff. The big winner of us was the free use (for 20 mins) of up-to-date Apple Mac's which we did not encounter anywhere else on our travels in New Zealand. Lovely facilities and a good quality breakfast ensured our stay in Christchurch was a great experience.

“Great Position”

Novotel is situated next to Christchurch Cathedral, it is very central and convenient to absolutely everything. The staff were very friendly - a smile and cheerful chatter are everything in a hotel. Our room even though it was in the old part of the hotel was very comfortable - perhaps a little hot (even though nights cool outside) but there was a floor air conditioning fan in the room. Breakfast good. The Novotel is good value for money.

“Great Weekend away!”

Booked a night in Chch for a relaxing weekend. The Novotel hotel ticked all the right boxes. You couldn't beat the location - we could walk everywhere we wanted to visit. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel brand spanking new. Would thoroughly recommend.

“Great location and staff”

This hotel was great. It seemed to be very new and replaced a previous hotel that was there, as over the entrance it has the name of a historic hotel. The parking was difficult and it was much easier to just valet park, as there was no available parking nearby and you had to walk a good distance to park. The room was great and had great amenities. The bed was extremely comfortable, as far as hotel beds go. The free use of internet capable computers in the lobby was a great plus also.

Novotel again were consistent in providing the basics of a great stay - clean quite room, comfortable bed with selection of pillows, courtious staff and a great breakfast to start the day. The location also meant we saved by not having to rent a car.

“Excellent hotel!”

We stayed at the Novotel 3 nights in October. Although I did not ask for an additional bed for my son (4 years old) when booking, the Novotel pre-empted this & made an extra bed for us before we checked it so, it was a lovely surprise!! The room was spacious, new & clean. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the hotel. The only downside was the lack of parking for guests unless you paid extra NZ$30 per night for valet parking. We ended up doing that for our hired car as it was too hard to look for an alternative car park with many roads closed due to the earthquake. There were 3 computers at the lobby for guests to use with free internet (limited to 20 minutes each time). Overall, very happy with Novotel & will definitely return to this hotel.
