We found the central park motor lodge easy to find, quiet and friendly. Good shower, everything you need for a quick overnight stay. Bed was abot bouncy, the room was nice and clean and quiet.

Booked for 5 adults, only two double beds provided, manager suddenly decided he didnt understand english. The room was absolutely filthy, tacky, smelling of fungal feet and bad bad perspiration all thrown in with rank cooking smells. The lounge was broken and filthy. Asked for refund becuse it was too un hygienic for inhabitants, again he told me to see expedia and disappeared. Travellers beware, this is not what you see in the booking photos . We left and were lucky to get another lovely place to stay at such short notice. 0/10. Dont waste your money and health.

Needs updating .alot of mould in bathrooom .kitchen had one knife 2forks 1 spoon . Very under resourced. Smelled of mould and smoke. Had to air it out before use.

The property was nothing like what was advertised. The fridge had split seals so good did not keep that cold. The room was not properly serviced daily. The ironing board cover was feral. No cooling in the room. No evacuation notifications. Burn marks on the floor. The mirror fell off the wall of the bedroom and my room wasn’t even touched on my last day. Will never stay there again.

The bathroom was far too small. Timber at bottom of shower was rotten. The spare toilet roll was wet when we got it out of the cupboard under hand basin. The kitchen area could be updated. Curtains had curtain rings missing. Overall we were not impressed.

Very poor units. We booked 2 bedroom unit, we got one bedroom with 2 beds in longe area. All power points falling off the walls. Toilet seat was broken. Cupboard and draws all falling apart. Doors in between rooms weren’t locked.Loads of road noise. Hear everything your neighbours are doing and saying.would recommend this place at all. The backpackers were better then this place. Best thing about it is the Thai restaurant that is close by. Not a great place!

The Indian restaurant staff next door kept us awake until after 1Am talking very loudly, None of the cleaning staff could speak English so I waited 10min for someone to come to reception

Hello there, we're sorry to hear your unhappy experience. However, as you may know, we are on one of the busiest road of Christchurch city, which provided our guest a lot of convenience with very good location. If you come next time, please do ask our receptionist to change a room for you.

Rude person on the desk stated wotif had not confirmed booking, even though money was paid and booking confirmed. He stated we were double hooked. We booked there to walk to the cricket and we had 3 kids to give lunch too. He arranged a replacement motel further away, as tiny as a postage stamp. We would never book at this place again. The stress caused and rude staff. Unbelievable.

OK. Firstly you come to my reception and argue with me first, you want me to kick someone already in and make the room for you, That is impossible. Secondly, i tried to explain everything for you , are you listen to him? keep say the f word at our reception. what are you doing there. really disrespect our staff here. Finally , you keep interrupt our staff there. He is tring to find a place for you to stay. Double booking always happen because of the system mistake. We tried our best to help you, why you so rude there???sir?? Most of our guest better than you there.

Unit 2? on the ground floor by carpark, curtains did not block light from neon sign from motel next door, noisy guests on the upper level continuous noise (did not appear to be any regulations regarding partying all night?) breakfast table only had one chair. The shower dripped continuously needs attention. The Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The unit was clean and presentable.

Mound so bad mound mushrooms were growing.
Our room 205 smelled really bad. When my husband walked to the side of the bed the carpet was wet. He opened the wardrobe door to see where the wet originated from to find a good quarter of the double wardrobe had extensive mound growing on the carpet and a mound mushroom growing up the skirting board. The wardrobe backed onto the bathroom and inspection there showed mouldy skirting boards and another mound mushroom growing in the corner. The bottom of the bathroom door had swelled up from the damp. Obviously the shower had been leaking for some time. Sadly we had arrived very late at the motel and the office was already closed otherwise we would had asked for another room or a refund and would have left. We slept with the window wide open on the noisy city to try to alleviate having to breathe the mound all night. In the morning my husband asked if they knew they had a problem and the reply was ‘yes’. My husband told her it was just not good enough to put people in a room with such a bad mould problem. We both had a headache in the morning and will never use these motels again and certainly could not recommend them!
