This hotel is in a great location, being easy walking distance from terminal 3 at CDG airport.
Guests check themselves in at the entry, ably assisted by the staff on duty. There are free computers to use and free wifi throughout.
The rooms are somewhat narrow, but the was ample room for the two of us.
The bar and meals are were great and we enjoyed a typical French breakfast.
This hotel is highly recommended for an overnight stay at a reasonable price
Had a very pleasant stay at the Hotel de France. Car parking was essential and efficient. Staff were attentive and spoke English as and when needed. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the square and as the weather was hot it was good to have a window open rather than the A/C running constantly. This exposed the one problem because the road cleaning operation started very early each morning and was extremely noisy. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

My room was on the second floor. No elevator! Very small room with no night stand. Small shower but very typical of most hotels in France. Do not ask for Room 8! The view is of the roof. Clean room and bathroom.

Arrived after a long journey from Le Puy en Velay. We have stayed in Chinon several times before so had no trouble finding the hotel. Booked in straight away (late afternoon) and, after settling in, had a drink at the bar opposite the chateau, one of our favourite views in France.

Lovely stay and excellent cheap food from attached restaurant as well. Loads of room with seperate bath and shower in bathroom. All accessed via a stone spiral staircase set in a turreted tower. Simply wonderful stay and stopover giving us time to walk the old town and visit the castle on the hill.
Lying on the bank of the river Vienne, Chinon is a verdant area most recognized by the dramatic fortress which dominates the landscape. Castle Rivau is another hotspot, attracting visitors due to its classic appearance and quaint, fairy tale-inspired gardens. Vineyards scale the plains of Indre-et-Loire and Chinon is known for its dense, fruity wines.
