"Luxury and History Hotel Address in Kuala Lumpur "
To sum it up, an excellent and satisfying hotel experience. First rated accommodation, fitted out in detail with an awesome bathroom. Large in size, with lovely view on KL. Professional and courteous staff, who are all ready at all times to make your stay even more comfortable. Morning breakfast with some many varieties to choose from the buffet and wonderful service by the staff. Nice pool. In the old Majestic hotel, we had the opportunity to taste and be treated to the sublime afternoon tea and had dinner at the colonial restaurant treated by well prepared dishes from the old days. One has to try. Excellent service. Watched movie at the in-house movie cinema. Hotel offered free bus shuttle service to the main train station and airport express as well to the best shopping malls. We will come back on our next visit

Taxi from airport took me to wrong ascot--I did not know there were two facilities. There is Ascot Sentral and then there is the regualar Ascot. The Taxi driver took me to the regular Ascot because the reservation did not have the words "Sentral" in it.
Took me over an hour to get to the correct location at which time it was 3:00 A.M. in morning.
When booking the Ascot the person making the booking needs to know there are two facilities of the same name.
Good location with all the amenities. The hotel staff friendly n helpful. The housekeeping worker honest. Very near walking distance to monorail n KL sentral. There are airport bus to and fro and take about an hour.
Great staff! A lady at reception was very helpful and orginized a little surprise for my Mom's birthday, offered 50% off on a dinner buffet as well as room upgrade . it was a really pleasant stay. Loved the location as well. It took only half an hour to get to the airport.

Good hotel with good location. Near to KL Sentral which most of the trains pass through and it is near Petaling street. There aren't any eateries within few hundred metres so there is a need to stock up on food. The room is very clean and the 2 bedroom suite is really spacious. Concierge very helpful with booking of cabs or with directions.
I read lots of previous reviews about this hotel before staying. My experience was very good, and I'll address a few of the points raised in previous reviews.
1. Check-in staff
It was slow. There wasn't a queue, we were seen immediately, but inexplicably it took over 20 minutes waiting before eventually getting out key. Staff seemed confused by the fact the room had been booked and paid for in advance, despite the first thing we did was present our printed Expedia itinerary.
It's Chinatown. Don't come here unless you understand what this almost universally entails. It's chaotic, but for me far better than the sanitised and soul-less tourist areas.
It wasn't gourmet, but it certainly wasn't the tasteless inedible affair I read on other reviews. Perfectly adequate for the cost.
Adjoining room doors are definitely not soundproof. We could hear everything going on in the next room, so a bit of a lottery if you get a party room next door. On the 11th floor, street noise was fine, no problem there. The air con was a little loud but it's a consistent hum that didn't really disturb us.
Ours was clean and modern, everything working and fridge that doesn't go off when you leave the room. Bathroom and beds were all good.
Ultimately, if you're expecting total luxury at this price, you'll be disappointed. If you expect a comfortable stay at reasonable cost in an area with loads of character and great transport links, you'll love it.
Nice hotel with immediate access to monorail to city center (shops, restuarants, Petronas towers), but i had booked a room for four nights and had to move to a room with a possiblity of a dorm-mate, which is specifically why i had booked the room i had.
Tl;dr: decent spot, incompetent booking staff
Pocket Guide: Kuala Lumpur Chinatown - Sentral Hotels
Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown is on Petaling Road--a shopper's dream, especially for goods like clothing, watches, and DVDs. Bargaining skills are a must. Highlights in the area include the British Empire shophouse on Jalan Tun HS Lee; the Jamek Mosque; the Masjid Negara National Mosque; Taoist Temple; Sin Sze Si Ya Temple, and the Hindu temple in Tamil style, Sri Mahamariaman. The Kuala Lumpur Sentral is the hub to all major rail system transfers and Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
