“Great hotel in Wilows and has a nice pool.”
Great hotel in Wilows and has a nice pool.
“A good bargain hotel for Willows”
I stayed here one night in December 2010 to attend an event at Thunderhill Raceway Park. Room decor was dated but room was large and clean. Hotel service was fine but the only service I used was check-in and check-out. This hotel--and most hotels in Willows--is near I-5. Room was pretty quiet, but I was staying in the end of the building farthest from the freeway. No WiFi service. Room appeared to have wired Internet access but I hadn't brought an Ethernet cable so couldn't test it. The bed was a fold-up Murphy bed, which seemed strange, but other than that the bed was fine. Don't remember the details of what was or wasn't included in the continental breakfast because I stayed there almost 5 weeks ago, but I think it was an okay but limited continental breakfast. If you are pulling a car trailer, there is room to park it but if the hotel were full then it might be hard to find a spot for the trailer in the parking lot. I would definitely stay there again, though if I were willing to spend more money I'd stay at the Holiday Inn Express instead.
“Travelodge Still Ok”
For an older motel, this was pretty good. Even though it was near the freeway, it was quieter than expected. The beds are great, TV ok, huge bathroom with shower (no tub). No wireless and the ethernet didn't work. There are many restaurants within a block, with the best being the Mexican restaurant, which was 5 stars (Ramos). The price was right.
“oldie but goodie”
nice to stay in older spread out motel from earlier times that is not a warehouse, two story strip
“Nice area”
Clean and comfortable, easy to find right off the highway.
“This Place Needs a Working Pool”
I've been going to this motel for nine years, at first because it used to be the nicest hotel in Willows, lately because the nicer motels are always full. The place has been going downhill slowly over the years. At my most recent stay, both pools were closed with no water in them.
“Never Again.”
Maybe it was because they were in the middle of remodeling some of the rooms? This was the most bizarre room we have ever stayed in. There were holes drilled into the top or ever flat surface. We had 2 double beds, and one was literally lopsided. There was a glass slider that opened into their "courtyard". It was unlocked when we arrived, because it had been pried open 2 seperate times and couldnt be locked. The screen was also bent and could not be used. The room was very dark since there were only 4 lights and 1 didn't work. We notified them of a family of 5, expecting to have a roll-a-way or a fold out like in the picture. The room looked NOTHING like photos online. The said they only had us down for 2 people, but we had out printed itinerary so they couldnt argue. They also do not have roll-a-ways or fold out couches like in the picture so we had to get extra blankets for my 14 year old to sleep on the floor. There is a continental breakfast offered....after you walk across 2 parking lots to the hotel next door. It was free if you show them your room key, but very disappointing and not at all filling. On another note, the entertaining thing, we called for more towels since there were 3 provided in the bathroom. A woman showed up with the towels, which were loaded in a Walmart shopping cart. No Joke. Try and avoid this place!! (We DID check the beds thoroughly for any sort of moving creatures, they passed on that one)
“Falling into disrepair”
We've been staying here for 10 years and have watched the place fall apart. This time we had an exposed electrical outlet in the bathroom, missing faucet handle and a wall lamp that was missing several screws so hanging on by just a few. Last time there was a small roach browsing across the desk... Time to start staying somewhere else. Too bad, because the place has a nice character.
“Only if everything else is booked”
Despite many open rooms, they put us in a room farthest from the desk, right on the Freeway. The number on the door was scratched on in ink. I assume this was because we had booked on line. Second, there were dirty towels in the room, no hand towels and only two towel sets for three people. They advertise free wi-fi but don't have it. When I called the desk they said they have a cord for hook-up and I should come and get it. This was quite far away in the rain. If they don't provide the things they advertise, I think they should bring it. There were no extra blankets or pillows in the room. It took a long time to heat up with a noisy heater (There was severely cold weather.). This hotel was a bad experience. However, the bathroom was large and had two sinks. Beds were clean and comfortable.
“Uncomfortable bed”
Beautiful setting,Room clean, bed was very hard and uncomfortable
