“By the ruins, can't be beat”

Excellent location that is away from it all and within walking distance to the ruins. Lovely hotel with great food at the restaurant, pool was very refreshing in the heat, and the rooms were lovely.

“perfect hotel for visiting Chichen Itza!”

Very nice hotel within a walking distance from Chichen Itza. It has a real colonial charm, GREAT kitchen and service. I would really recommend to ask for guide to explain Chichen Itza, because without a guide you would miss out a lot. A one particular things about the hotel is that you are going wake up with the birds singing - there are many of them. Overall we liked this hotel a lot!!!

“Loved it!”

If you really want to enjoy Chichen Itza, stay here and get up early in the morning and be the first to go see the wonderful ruins at the site just 3 minutes by foot. You'll avoid the midday heat and the late morning and noon tourist flood. The food was pretty good and the folks working there are phenomenal! The beds are very firm, but at least you won't break them! Will stay at its sister hotel in Uxmal next!

“Good location”

The location of the hotel is great! It is walking distance to the entrance to Chichen Itza. It was great to walk there in the morning before most of the tourists got there. It was also great to be able to go back to the light show they have in the evenings. The food is mediocre and expensive. I recommend going to Las Mestizas in the town of Piste. The rooms were OK. The beds mattresses are a bit hard. The wifi internet is only available in the hotel lobby. That was my biggest complaint. The employees were very friendly.

“Nice small room, not-so-great restaurant.”

The room was small but very nicely laid out. (We stayed in one with a double + single bed, with one child sleeping in the single bed and another sleeping in a portable crib that we brought ourselves.) Front desk & luggage assistance was great. Restaurant service was very very slow, and food was mediocre. I recommend finding somewhere else to dine. (Food is not included in the room price, so you're not losing anything by going elsewhere.)

“I'd stay here again”

Great location- walking distance to one of the Chichen Itza entrances. Rooms were small and the beds not so comfy but the rooms were clean and cool. We didn't spend much time in the room because this hotel has plenty of common spaces and a very refreshing pool. The TV room had WiFi so we found staying in touch via our iPhones was easy. We've stayed at the other hotels in the area and found this place was great for the budget we were on.

“Some of my thoughts”

I appreciate that pest control was good, without much mosquitos around. The food is ok and the concierge was helpful. The guide that takes us from the hotel to Chichen Itza was also recommendable, only if you have a car to drive him over to the entrance, otherwise you'll have to walk all the way. If there is one thing to complain about, was that the WIFI system does not always work, and is confined to the restuarant area. They charge for using the computer next to the concierge. Overall I recommend this hotel to other people.

“Good deal for that price”

The place is wonderful and the hotel was very convenient to visit the historical site. It is only 5 minutes walking to the entrance. The rooms are clean but the mattresses were pretty hard for me. The conditioner made so much noise that it was necessary to turn it off if we wanted to sleep. Except those two points, everything went well and it remains a very pleasant place to stay. The pool was clean and the staff was very kind. The restaurant was perfect and the breakfast was hearty. We recommend this hotel.
