“Delightful!”

The Villas Arqueologicas at Chichen are 2 minutes walk from the East door of the archeological site. So we were in the site by 8:30 and had taken a thorough and leisurely tour before any tour bus arrived. Being able to stroll back to the site for a sound and light show under the stars added to the pleasure. As for the hotel itself, nothing could have been more gracious. Our room was small but comfortable, with a window looking over the garden and a door opening on to a pretty inner courtyard, planted with palms and tropical flowers. The food was very good, and inexpensive, and the service was elegant. Margaritas by the pool is a very satisfying way to top off an amazing day of exploring Mayan ruins. Superb value.

“Very happy with Villas Arquelogicas!”

This place was fantastically situated for visiting the ruins of Chichen Itza. You can just walk down the road and your there. The staff were really friendly, and the food was great. Our rooms were old fashioned, but very neat and clean. The whole building is like an old Hacienda so the rooms fit with the rest. The pool was also very refreshing to have as the humidity and heat can be a bit opressive in the afternoons.

Great location, you can walk to Chicen Itza for the evening light show and in the morning to beat the bus loads of tourists coming into the sight. Charming hotel, good and resonably priced menu, tranquil setting.

A delightfull place to stay good price good service and very reasonable price and close to the back entrance to the ruins so you can get there before the crouds

This hotel is a great option if you are going to Chichen Itza. It is walking distance from the ruins and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

“Will visit again”

This hotel was very quiet, within a 5 minute walk to Chichen Itza. The staff tried their best to be accomodating. Room is smallish but quirky with a big, high pressure shower. The food in the restaurant is not memorable but the staff serving it was. Great prices for this hotel Yes the beds are hard but so are they at the Mayaland.I recommend you walk up to the Mayaland to eat which has wonderful food and fabulous rooms and is closer to the ruins but is much more expensive.

“chitchen itza hotel”

Hotel should supply road map of how to get there. We missed the entry several times knowing it was right there but we couldn't find it. Once we arrived everything was excellent. Atmosphere was very laid back and quiet exactly what we were hoping for considering that Chitchen Itza was within walking distance. We used a hotel supplied guide to the ruins. He was excellent as well. We will stay there again.

“Great location, very clean but poor food”

The hotel itself are awesome. Unique design, great location ( just about 10 min from back gate to Chichen-Itza), very clean, comfortable rooms and all of it for reasonable price. But this hotel has 1 'but' - food. My advice is don't eat in hotel. You can eat somewhere else, Pisto is 10 min drive from hotel. Overall the hotel is great and I'll recommend to stay there.

“Some of my thoughts”

I appreciate that pest control was good, without much mosquitos around. The food is ok and the concierge was helpful. The guide that takes us from the hotel to Chichen Itza was also recommendable, only if you have a car to drive him over to the entrance, otherwise you'll have to walk all the way. If there is one thing to complain about, was that the WIFI system does not always work, and is confined to the restuarant area. They charge for using the computer next to the concierge. Overall I recommend this hotel to other people.
