“Outstanding”
Amazing Hotel! The Elysian Hotel is outstanding The rooms, staff and service were all superb. Everyone was so helpful and went above an beyond to make our stay perfect.
“Great Hotel!”
One of the best hotels I have been to. Super clean, great service and very helpful staff.
“Bliss”
Wonderful hotel and staff. It was a snowy weekend in Chicago. The fireplace was great. The location was perfect. It could not have been more enjoyable.
“Perfection”
The Waldorf Astoria (formerly the Elysian) is a phenomenal hotel. Beautiful facility, quiet and elegant. The staff is courteous and eager without any evidence of an air of superiority. I surprised my new fiance with a night here following the proposal. Other than an issue with a beeping refrigeration unit (which the staff was quick to respond to), it was completely magical. Left wishing we could have spent more time at this gem.
“Overwhelmingly good”
Overwhelmingly good experience in virtually every regard. I was surprised to be charged for a morning newspaper, which is usually gratis in hotels, but this was the only flyspeck on the extremely friendly, comfortable, quiet, and pretty impeccable service and room.
“Wow! Leaving this hotel was heart breaking”
Our stay was amazing! If you are going to Chicago and plan on enjoying everything Downtown has to offer this is the best location. Additionally the staff is impicably trained. From Alex the bellwoman, Edward the Concierge, The Driver, to the front desk staff that seemed to apparently live there...the staff cannot be beat. I travel for business and take my family on nice trips frequently to Chicago. Trust me! Spend the money and experience this level of service. The restaruant staff is exceptional, the spa is amazing. I cannot say enough nice things about this experience. Even the dang phones in your room appear to be clarvoyant. One word of advice, dont be surprised if the staff doesnt except tips. Apparently the original developer started this culture and its truly brillant. -J Hodges

The staff was so friendly and helpful, the rooms beautiful and large, the spa superb. I can't say enough great things about this hotel! I will definitely stay there again!
“Great Hotel”

“Rated as Chicago's #1 Hotel, It should be The World's #1 Hotel!”
Honestly, what more can a hotel offer... I am a world traveller, yet I never felt the urge to sit and review a hotel or an experience ever! We were so impressed with every fine detail about this place, that we felt writing a review is the least this hotel deserves in return for their fine fine job succeeding to combine glamor 'n luxury with the warmth and coziness of an at-home feel! (Most other 5 star hotel unfortunately lack) All I Can say is that they took Hospitality Management and Industry to a whole new level. They helped me arrange and put together my Husband's surprise birthday trip to chicago in an impressively flawless and an unforgettable way. From offering us the best view suite, and having the cake order and gift certificates neatly put and awaiting in our room upon arrival. To offering us the house car for free to our dinner destination. I really can't say enough good things about you Elysian. The point of the matter, is that its not just another fancy Hotel with super friendly staff! Its a place where they carefully pick and train their staff, that you genuinely feel that everyone from the doorman to the housekeeping lady are just thriving to give you their best... and they Do!... and they take pride in their excellence that they politely turn down your tips ! *applause*
“Gold Coast Jewel”
Stayed at the Elysian for a special anniversary weekend. It was everything billed and more. The only property that I would compare it to is the Four Seasons. The room was spacious, well appointed, and immaculate. The location was ideal and close to other Chicago Gold Coast hot spots, the Magnificent Mile, Lincoln Park and others. The service was simply outstanding. The concierge was helpful and well informed. They arranged flowers, confirmed reservations, and made useful suggestions. Significantly, it is a "no tip" hotel, and they hold to that standard. On more than one occasion, tips were refused before we learned of the status. Remember, it's not cheap. It's a very high end, luxury experience. But you get what you pay for.
