“I'd stay there again”

This hotel was right on the Lakeshore with an excellent view and within walking distance to the Navy Pier. The people were so friendly and helpful. The exercise room was outstanding. Definitely a 4-star hotel.

“Great Chicago Hotel”

Our room was very nice. The staff was very helpful. I will not hesitate to book at any W. The location of the lakshore W is easy access to all areas. We walked to most places. A coffee maker in the room would have been nice. You need to request one. Not sure why. Over all I would recommend this to any one.

“anniversery at the W!!”

First off for a one night stay at the price expedia provided we were not expecting such luxury. When we arrived they had us in a 2 twin bed room even though expedia said 1 king. This was quickly fixed but a little worrisome at first. The hotel is very modern in the heart of downtown chicago. We opted to park overnight down the street instead of spending the money on valet service. overnight parking was still pricey but this was expected in the city. The room was beautiful with a terrific modern bathroom and the greatest shower head I have ever used. We had a beautiful view of the city and were not expecting such a great room. The lobby has a full bar which we indulged in after a night on the town. We were told there was more of a club music bar on the 32nd floor so we decided to check it out. The club area was blocked off for a private party but there was another bar right outside it. Drinks were expensive. mixed drinks were expensive but at such a nice hotel I expected it. My girlfriend and I celebrated our 1 year anniversery and had a spectacular time at the W and for the price it could not be beat!!!!... Take advantage of this we will definitely be going back.. it was 100% class...

“Blizzard Weekend in Chicago”

I spent the weekend in Chicago with a couple of friends for their birthday. It was a blizzard, Chicago got 5 inches of snow. The hotel was wonderful about the mess. They kept the snow mess at bay and made you feel safe and warm. Thank you for a great weekend, despite the weather.

After trying to check in to a previous reservation at another Hotel and having a very bad experience (we had to leave because they could not accomodate our family), we booked the W through Expedia at the last minute on a Friday of Labor Day weekend. Our rooms were very nice, extremely clean and comfortable. Check in was a breeze. The hotel has a fun atmosphere, and the location is excellent. Walking distance to Navy Pier, many restaurants and other attractions were only a $5 cab ride away. They have a great sitting location outside the hotel and you can watch all the hustle and bustle of Lake Shore Dr. Very Fun!! We did not have a Lake view, but if you do get one, it would be beautiful. The 7th floor has an outdoor sitting area with chairs and "lounging" beds. We watched a great fireworks display over Navy Pier from there. There is also a very nice sized indoor pool on that level. They have a Bliss Spa at the hotel also. It was a great experience!! Highly recommend this hotel for couples, families, and girls weekends (or guys! ) Will definitely be going back.

“Will definately stay here again!”

We arrived at W Lakeshore a little later than expected due to our flight being delayed. Within minutes of stepping out of the cab we were checked in and on our way up to the 25th floor. Stepping out of the lift the first thing we noticed was the view over Lake Michigan and the sparkly lights of Navy Pier. We got into our room and the first thing we noticed was how spacious it felt, two enormous beds, great cityscape view from the window, flat screen HD TV, etc. We had been travelling for some 18 hours so the second thing we looked into was Room Service. Within about 20 minutes we had a pizza made to order delivered to our room, delicious and easy on the wallet. We didn't make as much use of the hotel as we could have done but what we did use, we were very impressed with. The restaurant and bar were great, and the selection of food/drinks was good and reasonably priced. The staff at the W were always very helpful and made us feel welcome. Location wise, the W is about a 5 minute walk from Michigan Avenue which made it easy to hit the shops and a wide range of restaurants without using a cab. Having the open space of Lake Michigan certainly added to the W's appeal, gave us a chance to 'escape' the inner city feeling. We enjoyed Chicago a lot, and when we return we will definitely stay at the W Lakeshore again.

“Boutique Style”

Hotel is well located and you don't need to have a lakeside view for a good view, the city views are just as good - if not better, especially if the lake is foggy or cloudy. Very nicely done, bathroom is a wetroom style and has a window into the main room so you need to shut the shutters for some privacy but everything else was very nice.
