Like royalty for a week!

Posted 20-Aug-2014
I cannot fault this hotel. It's just a couple of minutes walk away from main shops. The room was out of this world with a view of the river. They treated us like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble.

Fabulous!!!

Posted 18-Aug-2014
Pros: Luxurious rooms. Ours had a full kitchen and two bathrooms.
Cons: Valet and self park were expensive.
Location: Walked to Millennium Park. Chicago River boat rides close by. Stone throw to Nordstroms Michigan Avenue location.
Loved this hotel! I have stayed at many hotels in Chicago and The Trump International Hotel really outdid all of them.

Nice hotel downtown chicago close to the lake

Great hotel, clean, comfortable. You must try the 16th floor Terrace, great burgers and cocktails (ok, overpriced) but what a view

Great Hotel for Pets

Pros: Pet Policy
Cons: Faster Elevators
We brought our dog with us and he was treated like a king with his own bed and toys.

Top of the list hotel.

Posted 08-Aug-2014
Pros: Upscale, immaculate, attentive staff and good location.
Cons: Pricey. But not out of line with other upscale hotels.
Location: Great Chicago location off the River with prime city locations within a walk.
The Trump Hotel in Chicago is a must stay. Not inexpensive, but a plus in service, comfort and enjoyment. Great staff, room, service and location.

Weekend in chicago

Posted 28-Jul-2014
The hotel was amazing and I will certainly return. The experience at the terrace restaurant on the 16th FL was craziness. The staff was flustered, the food was overpriced and awful. I would only go to the terrace for drinks, DO NOT EAT lunch or dinner THERE!

NICE BUT NEEDS A FEW IMPROVEMENTS

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendliest staff and very clean.
Cons: Restaurants were low quality with bad service.
Location: Great location for shopping and walking distance to everything we came here for.
Hotel was extremely nice and staff was incredibly pleasant. Our room was very spacious and clean but the beds were very uncomfortable for a 5 star hotel such as this. Stayed in hotels half the cost more with better beds. Valet service was longer then what they told us on weekends. Took 30 minutes to get our car when they said 10-15. Our GPS took us to the wrong location and I called the hotel 2 times and got different directions each time. There is a upper Wabash and lower Wabash and there on the upper. I was on the lower because the GPS directed us there. When I said something to them they said that happens all the time and people get lost. If that happens all the time then they should be a little clearer when giving directions. Hotel restaurant was a joke. We ate breakfast 2 times there and took well over a hour and over 90 minutes the second visit. Waiter didn't show up to take our order for over 30 minutes and everything we needed, we had to ask the bus boy for. Food was average to poor quality and over and under cooked. This hotel was definitely one of the nicest and cleanest we have stayed in but lacking the 5 star support to go along with its quality. There are only 3 elevators making the elevator use very slow. The views of the river were amazing and the location was excellent. When I checked out and they asked how everything was I said great except for our restaurant experiences and they were like really and that was it. No apologies or meal taken off bill.

Nice but not the best

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff friendliness and helpfulness
Location: dead centre 2mins from the "mile" and right on the river, great location for shopping and all tourist things within walking distance.
Never actually felt welcome at this hotel, staff all seemed too busy to care, probably think we are more customers than guests. room was very large, although I asked for a river view and got a city view, not a huge issue really but still not what I asked for. Hotel was hard to navigate around. Nice but not what i expected form Trump!

Trump got it right with this amazing property!

Posted 07-Jul-2014
We booked the base level room and it delivered. Large room, beautifully appointed with many thoughtful details. The kitchenette even came with a sub zero mini fridge! The spa was beautiful with lush towels, robes and infused water. We also enjoyed an evening at The Terrace with amazing votes of the skyline and river. We will be back! The only inconvenience we experienced were the slow elevators...but the destinations were worth the wait!
