My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at theWit. Very convenient to the orange line train, restaurants, shopping, etc. The room was pretty clean and had all of the amenities needed. The staff were very helpful and kind. Than at the front desk was specifically helpful with restaurant and tourist ideas. The rooftop was very fun and lively!!! We will definitely be back.

The room was relaxing and elegant. I loved the big shower/bath. We were lucky to get a good view of the river from the room window. Ordered breakfast in bed and room service was attentive to whatever we needed. The rooftop bar is a vibe. I didn’t get a chance to go check out the club but other people staying at the hotel said it was decent. I would stay here again.

Welcome tequila drink upon arrival. Nice room, Good location close to the theater district and the Chicago river. Plenty of parking garages within a couple blocks. Restaurant and nightclub on premises. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bathrobe and extra blanket in closet if needed along with a safe. Room also has a Mini fridge and Kcup coffee maker (KCups included) Good security with key card needed to use elevators.

The hotel and staff were great, but the bathroom door was a real deal breaker. A sliding barn door with approx a 1-inch gap on each side was the only thing that separated the bathroom from the rest of the room. Absolutely no privacy. It’s a real shame because we loved everything else about the hotel, but because of this, we won’t be back.

Location is so great. In the middle of chicago on state st. Beds are very hard and worst tp for sure. Beware of the daily charge, it isnt always true. We called and confirmed we paid the fee and they said yes so we took advantage of the discounts but it was not true and the front desk lady didnt care.

Breakfast buffet? What breakfast buffet?
Hotels.com sold me a breakfast buffet that doesn't exist. When I checked in I asked about the breakfast buffet I had paid for, just to confirm, and was met with incomprehension. TheWit doesn't offer a breakfast buffet, I was told, although other Hiltons do and I should take this up with Hotels.com. When I showed the desk clerk my reservation in the Hotels.com app she took offense and told me to not "shove that phone in my face." I wasn't demanding anything, I only suggested that somebody at theWit needed to get in touch with Hotels.com and sort it out. I was trying to be helpful. I bought the breakfast buffet because it was promoted on Hotels.com as a freebie for reserving a refundable room. I wanted a breakfast buffet, so it seemed like a good deal. Turns out Hotels.com was just luring me into paying extra for a service I didn't need by offering me a service I wasn't going to get. Between Hotels.com's bait and switch and the desk clerk's needlessly adversarial reaction our one night at an otherwise very nice hotel was not as pleasant as it should have been. If Hotels.com hadn't sold me a nonexistent breakfast buffet this unfortunate incident never would have happened. I'd like to think the two parties will fix the problem but I just discovered that there is no place on the Hotels.com site to offer a suggestion or lodge a gripe. They must not be interested. Here's hoping they read this review.

It was just ok
The hotel was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Love the noon check out, however just a few things to keep in mind: Your room will not be ready until 4, no early check in (I arrived 20min early and was unable to check in). They do not have onsite parking and valet is about $80 a day (reg parking is $60). The parking garage is over the bridge. The delux king is not as pictured (the bathroom does not have that view or even a window for that matter). The rooftop bar does not have outside seating during the winter as a matter of fact we were not permitted outside at all. The two bars were small and have very limited seating. Unless you have a table reserved good luck finding a seat. The two lounges are literally side by side so its more like one lounge with two bars. I never saw anything I would consider a "club" and I asked to make sure I wasn't missing something. I was less than impessed. However, the Virgin Hotels is a block away and has an excellent rooftop bar! We went there instead and had a great time!
