I had a great stay! Brandon and Ashley were amazing, kind, thoughtful, and attentive hosts and they really care that guests are happy during visits. They answered my phone calls promptly and genuinely made me feel like I was at home. I will be back for sure and commend this property’s breath of fresh air hospitality and fun spirited atmosphere :))

This is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. The room, while clean, was smaller than I expected. Ours had an attached private bathroom that was a bit small but functioned well. Our host texted me instructions for check-in that are accurate and easy to follow. The things I would would try to improve upon: -There were two Glade plugins that made the room smell a little weird. -Street parking was almost impossible. We stayed 2 nights and on the first night managed to find a "free" parking spot over two blocks away, only after searching for 30 min. The second night we played for a spot at NoHa parking just so we would not have to go through that again. -It would have been nice to have actually seen our host during our stay instead of text messages. The text instructions from her were easy to follow, but it would have made our stay a little bit nicer. Things we liked: -Multiple dining options were within walking distance. -Being tucked back aways from the street made it very quiet. -Safety. We felt very safe staying here.

This place is a dump and this woman is lazy and doesn’t know how to run a hotel and could use a few classes in customer service. This place looks like it was glued together with popsicle sticks. Everything looks like it was done by someone with no experience extremely cheep.

Nice facility close to Wrigley Field.
Our room was very clean however it was small and cramped. There were no dressers and the closet was very small. The only table in the room barely was large enough for my laptop and one side of the bed was up against the wall so my wife had to climb over me to get to the bathroom. The living space is about the size of a small trailer.

"Wrigleyville" inn has Toscana charm, other pluses
The proximity to Wrigley Field makes this historic house between two already old apartment buildings a convenient and interesting location. Bus and "L' are close at hand, with an easy trip to either airport via train. We spent little time in the room or the lounge, although the breakfast area and main lounge are attractive, but of limited capacity. Despite a large and constantly running dehumidifier, the air quality in the semi-basement rooms could be problematic for some, although not everyone. DIY breakfast options were more than sufficient. Some might be put off by the location in "boys' town" (a stridently gay neighborhood in Lakeview).

Charming and comfortable
It was a bit hard to find but once there I was glad I found it. Ron the Innkeeper was more than helpful making sure I was going to be greeted and how to make my stay more enjoyable. The room was spacious and well appointed. The wireless was fast and very easy to connect to. The breakfast had a good selection of cold items.

Good safe location for Cubs fans, LGBTQ friendly
We stayed in a room below ground level which wasn't ideal for my wife and I, but the room was okay, clean and not damp with a comfortable bed. Continental breakfast is adequate but nothing special. Safe location in walking distance to Wrigley Field. Area and inn is clearly LGBTQ friendly, which was fine for us.

Nice B&B near Wrigley Field
Convenient to the el, so easy to get to things around town. Compared to other B&Bs, though, it is a bit lacking. The "breakfast " is a kitchen area with an assortment of DIY choices for eating and drinking.

Great option for a Wrigley Field visit.
Such easy access to Wrigley with plenty of dining in the area. Our room was in the lower level and very quiet. The courtyard and patio were very inviting and the innkeeper was excellent. Continental breakfast was very plentiful and you get a free parking permit for the neighborhood.

Nice place to stay.
Good place to stay. The innkeeper was waiting at the gate for me. Really cool. Had pumpkin bagel, cream cheese, banana and both milk and orange juice for breakfast. Innkeeper also left a bag of dried fruit to take on the road! Only one issue - plan time to find parking, it's typical 15 minutes hunt and peck to find a spot on the side streets.

A nice little B & B when you don't feel like the staying at another cookie-cutter hotel. Walk to Wrigley, catch the train for the short trip downtown or just hang out in a great Chicago neighborhood.

Nice B&B within walking distance of Wrigley
We stayed here for a few days while going to a couple Cubs games. It's an easy walk to the stadium and several other attractions. The place was pretty quiet and they were very friendly. The continental breakfast was nice. My only complaint would be that the mattress was old and uncomfortable.

Urban Oasis near Wrigley Field
My husband won some tickets to a Cubs game in an auction. My mission: to find a place to stay within walking distance of Wrigley Field. The Villa Toscana Guest House fit my requirements and I booked our room. I had never been to Chicago before this visit, and I could not have been more delighted with our visit and our accommodations. The Villa is an oasis in the midst of a bustling neighborhood with a private garden, clean, air-conditioned rooms, and a lovely living room and kitchen. Ron, the proprietor, is kind and helpful. The neighborhood is perfect--close to transit and with lots of great places to visit within walkable distance. I highly recommend the Villa Toscana.

Quaint home in the midst of a metro area. First time in a B&B. Unless you have a room with a private bathroom, except that others are not as respectful as you would like. Yuck!

Relaxing Getaway Amidst City Hubbub
Beautiful front yard set back from street with deck, fountain and mature plants make this place great. The room was small but adequate for one. Inn is surrounded by outdoor eateries/bars that can be quite noisy at night; bring earplugs. Innkeeper Ron very friendly and helpful. Great neighborhood feel, close to public trans., the lake and night life. Breakfast okay. Bathroom dirty. Free wi-fi nice. A few upgrades could make this place wonderful.

Villa Toscana
Reception - not exactly tops in charm. We liked our stay in Villa Toscana - relaxed easy atmosphere. Breakfast - self service and perfectly fine. Fruit, cereals, bread, tea/ coffee all readily available. If you are getting the train from downtown get the Red line to Addison. Not the brown line to Addison which leaves you blocks away. Addison Red line drops you at the entrance to Wrigley Stadium. Villa Toscana just a short distance from the lake shore. Felt perfectly safe in Chicago and in the Villa Toscana neighbourhood - very nice restaurant around the corner.

My room was not large but it was very comfortable and well decorated. There was a tremendous amount of choice in the continental breakfast. Host went to some trouble to make sure that I was comfortable. He also had to spend some time arranging to have flowers that were sent to me actually get there. in slightly warmer weather I would love to sit in that garden.

You get what you pay for! Not luxurious, but convenient
My room was a little dingy--I had one of the lower rooms with a separate entrance, almost in a half-basement--but the location was convenient & the price was right. When I tried to go into the main house for breakfast in the morning, one of the two days I was not able to get in w/ my room key (the other day, some other guests who were sitting there opened the door.) It could have been better explained how to access the breakfast area.

Worst hotel in the Chicago area
They literally threw us out. Management, hotel workers and overall service is tantamount to bird droppings. The place is old, ugly and very bad taken care us. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND. Don't throw away your money in this horrible place.

Great location!
We were very happy with the cozy little hidden jewel. You really didn't need a vehicle but if you do have one it is really nice to be able to get a sticker to place on your windshield to park for free. For those that are not good at parallel parking you will have a hard time because parking is hard to find & tight. We felt very save walking at all hours of the day. I know they call NY the city that doesn't sleep but I think they lost there name to Chicago! Young crowd, healthy and same sex friendly. We would be returning customers :-)
