Drake Bros. - Offering superb views of Lake Michigan, this steakhouse is decorated with black-and-white vintage Chicago photography. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch.

“Landmark hotel”
Absolutely charming!
“Grand Hotel - Completely Updated”
The Drake has been completely refurbished, however it maintains the grand vintage feel. Gone are the threadbare carpets and upholstery from my last stay there. Visited for the Mag Mile Lights Festival and was very impressed. We will definitely stay there again. The Drake is worth a visit even if you are not a hotel guest.
“one of our favorite hotels to stay at”
As always an enjoyable relaxing hotel close to all our favorite places to go. We love it and will be back.
“Live in style”
This is an excellent and affordable hotel. The staff are all superb and very helpful. We did not eat in the hotel, but is is only a short walk away from the restaurants. The cost is very good value given its excellent location. Best of all, it is a 5 minute walk from the best beach in Chicago, a great way to relax at the start or end of the day. Shopping is very high end, but mixed within the brand names are more affordable stores to get reminders of a great place to stay in a fantastic city.
“Almost perfect”
Exceptional hotel and a great delight to stay in for a weekend. Perfect location and ambiance and excellent service. The hotel restaurants are very good, incouding the Cape Cod Room.Room extremely comfortable. Would go back in a minute.
“Great place”
Very nice hotel, great location
“Great place, great people”
Excellent "old" hotel nicely redone: great location. Rooms a bit small, but staff was wonderful
“Dated, but comfortable, good service, great location, no free wifi”
The location is excellent, best part of Michigan Ave. The hotel is dated but in good condition. Room is very comfortable but has loud clanking sounds from the heating in the middle of the night. There is a nice gym. Service was excellent. They have no free wifi in public areas. That was an issue for me.
“Would not come back”
Had to get somebody to fix t.v. , could never get air conditioner to work well. Shower dirty
“Classic Chicago Hotel Worth Visiting”
My husband and I stayed at the Drake for 4 nights and loved the elegance and old school charm. The service was phenomenal. However, it is very expensive - not the hotel room per se, but Wi-Fi (we travel with our own hot spot) and drinks and meals. $70 breakfast for 2 anyone? However, the drinks were impeccably made, and the food we had - breakfast, lunch, and dinner but no room service - was all fabulous.
