“Don't fear the Super 8!”

First stay in a Super 8. Some said that Super 8 hotels are "dives," but I did not find this one to be so. Very convenient to Loyola University Chicago. Free parking is a welcome amenity. Free breakfast is okay, but breakfast room is very tiny. Hotel looks a little dated, but was just fine to stay in a few days. Room was a good size.

“Chicago Visit”

I didn't expect the hotel to be so nice. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Although the hotel needs some updating, it was very clean.

“Staying on the Chicago northside”

This is a nice, basic hotel with no frills. For us, it was convient for visit son and his family.

“nice area and close to train station.”

the room was large, and had wi-fi access. the staff were very kind and helpful which made our stay more enjoyable. it took us a while to find the hotel cos got off at wrong station but when we eventually arrived we liked the quiet area the hotel was in which felt safe. however we found the train journeys back and forth into town very slow and long. if staying in chicago for less than a couple of nights somewhere closer to town may be better. but overall we enjoyed our stay here, and had no problems.

“Would not stay again...”

The front desk staff was very courteous but the smell in the hallway on day two was awful - they were cleaning the carpets?!! Room could have been cleaner and included a couple of amenities or two - but that's what you get when you're trying to economize in a large city!Would probably go to the suburbs next time!!

“Would stay there again”

Very friendly staff. Felt safe as a single traveler. The free parking is great. Will stay there again later this year.

“Good location when you are in a squeeze”

This place is run by the surliest folk imaginable, who seem to think serving you is the least of their concerns. That said, the place, whilst threadbare, does the job when you have things to do in the Northside and/or Evanston and need a solid "name" hotel. Can't really give much more an endorsement than that, mind you...

“Basic hotel”

Hotel is very basic..i do mean basic. No frills and breakfast is limited to cereal and coffee and some pastries. Room is far from downtown Chicago but the red line is right around the corner so if you dont mind taking the subway its ok. Surrounding area decent but a bit of walk to some of the restaurants in the area. Front staff very friendly and helpful.

“Not bad....”

Not bad if you are going solo or for a guys night out. Wouldn't bring my wife and family to this place.
