“Modern chic and elegant”
The hotel and its' staff fully lived up to my expectations bearing in mind the previous reviews I had read. Cool calm and fragrant reception, elegant patio and restaurant, funky bar, luxurious bed and bathrooms and attentive and knowledgeable staff, go there now, you know you want to!!!!
“Great stay”
Beautiful hotel. Staff great, very comfortable room and extremely quiet at night for light sleepers.
“Great Location”
We booked this hotel thro Expedia after reading the great reports on Trip Advisor. We bought a three day train (CTA) pass at O'Hare, getting off just around the corner from the hotel. Great location, a minutes walk from the magnificent mile, but in a quiet area. Lovely room, the most gorgeous big comfy bed - did not want to get out of it. Bathroom had a big shower and a bath, fluffy dressing gowns and excellent toiletries etc. All beautifully clean and fresh. Would certainly stay again.
“Fantastic Modern Hotel; Perfectly Located”
Sofitel Water Tower Chicago is a great hotel. The atmosphere is up-beat, chic and very modern; yet the service is everything you could expect from an "old world" 5 star hotel, there are always 2 staff on the door to politely open-up and let you in; everyone is very well informed about the hotel and anything you need in Chicago... Concierge service has the Chicago "knowledge" like an old-time London Cab Driver knows the fastest way to any point inside the M25. It's a great place to stay, the rooms are large (unusual in the middle of Chicago) massive flat screen TV, the spacious bathroom actually has a bath and seperate shower! The Bar is up-beat and full of city folk early in the evening. There is a nice breakfast area - that is reported to serve great food; but your in the heart of the city, only a minute from the Magnificent Mile and Rush Street so you have plently of choice. The only downside is there are no real fitness facilities / pool. However there is "discounted" membership at one of Chicago's main fitness clubs; to be honest if the weather is nice there are plenty of exciting views when you have your running shoes on; better than being a Gym-Lab-Rat. I'll definately use this hotel again any time I'm in Chicago.
“Consistently high quality hotel”
Stayed 6 nights at Sofitel, our hotel of choice in Chicago. Fantastic location, just a block off Michigan Avenue and a short walk from the Gold Coast bars and restaurants. Rooms are spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable. Staff are great, particularly in Le Bar! Would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit which can't come soon enough.
“Best beds”
We stayed here as part of a visit to New York, Lake Geneva and Chicago. We have been fortunate enough to stay in some of the worlds most iconic hotels but this was the best bed ever. It's just a shame it was hard to get up and explore the city. We will just have to go back
“Great Location, Very helpful staff would stay there again”
Sofitel Chicago Water Tower was the perfect location for shopping, getting to all the sites and to transport to other areas. I was on my own and felt so safe. The staff were so helpful. I wanted to go vintage shopping and they typed up for me a 4 page guide of off the beaten track shops. Very helpful. I also booked a tour through them. The room was a great room and had all the comforts you need. I stayed for a week so really got to see how clean they kept it. The restaurant was great as well. I would 100% stay there again. My room was on the 11th floor and I had nice views. I went to Lollapalooza festival and it was so easy to get to from the Sofitel. There are a lot of restraunts and supermarkets near the hotel. My room was quiet but I have to say the Air Con was loud but as it was so hot in Chicago I was fine putting up with it. I would really recommend the Sofitel Chicago
“Very comfortable”
We would definitely go back.
“Even better than anticipated”
A first class modern hotel in a great location with charming and capable staff in all departments. Most comfortable bedding ever. Would not hesitate to recommend to any leisure or busines traveller. Will certainly go back.
“Great Chicago nights”
Excellent hotel, in the best city location.
