Friendly staff , Awesome Location

Posted 23-Oct-2014
Pros: The friendly staff, and the convenient location
Cons: There was stuff left behind by the previous guest staying in the room I was in. A more thorough job needs to be done to address this
Location: Lots of shopping on Michigan Avenue, which is a block away from the hotel. It is also a short walk to the Navy Pier where there is lots of nice sights
I spent 2 nights at this hotel. When I first checked in I was greeted by the very friendly Alisha. Her smile and friendly nature made me feel very welcome. She got me checked in quick. I was then offered some valuable tips by the concierge which made my stay in Chicago very enjoyable. The lady serving the donuts at infuzed was also very friendly and took the time to chat with me, instead of just treating me like another customer wanting to be served. Wish I had more time to stay at this hotel, as I am sure I would have enjoyed Chicago that much more

Pros: staff friendliness, great rooms
we arrived from New York in early afternoon and had a faultless check in. The room was very clean, well appointed with a great bathroom and separate washroom. It is located near to many good restaurants all within walking distance and the Hancock building. Chicago is a very friendly, clean and safe in this precinct. We had lots of fun

Great location/great staff

We had a very nice time. The Raffaello hotel was very good with helpful staff and a nice room. Our only complaint was that the room was very warm the first night but the staff was able to rectify the problem and it was comfortable for the remainder of our stay. Very close to shopping and near the navy pier ( a short walk along the lakeshore). Located Near public transportation to the sights.

Had to use the stairs several times because the elevators were full. Your elevators are slow and small, they aren't always going in the right direction either. Not sure if I would recommend this place or not bit I had to check something!

Pros: It was close to the activities that we were interested in doing.
Cons: Air Conditioning and Heating were not very good in either room we stayed in. Some rooms don't have safes in them.
Location: New Michigan Avenue and Lake Shore Trail.
My husband and I were given one of the smallest rooms in the hotel. After completely unpacking we asked the next morning if we could move and was told that if a room became available we could but we had to be at the hotel to move ourselves. When I inquired about an approximate time they couldn't give me one, so I wasn't going to give up one of my vacation days to sit around the hotel hoping we could move our things. When I gave Expedia a disappointed text/review, I suddenly got a text from another employee at the front desk asking me how stay was going and I told her. She then said we could move the next day and if we would have all our stuff ready, the hotel staff would move us to our new room. After that was done and handled nicely, the room was probably twice as big and much more comfortable.
