“Excellent downtown location”
This hotel has to be one of the best hotels that I have stayed in for the money. Yes it is basic, but it had everything that I needed. Nice bright rooms. Comfortable bedsIt is in a great location, just down from the Willis Tower with good access to the CTA. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was just fine. Not the best breakfast in America, for sure, but they have access to eggs , toast, waffles, cereal and fruit. All of the staff there from the receptionist to the cleaners were so friendly. The reception staff could have been more helpful and gave us great tips on how to get around and where to go to eat and what to see. I would receommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value for money hotel in a safe and good location. (ps pool is really small - okay for kids)
“Top Notch Service”
Our room was very clean and the staff was great. We arrived early and they allowed us to check our bags until our room was ready. Then again we were allowed to check our bags after check out until we left to catch our train. I cant say enough how helpful the staff was on a very busy weekend. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Going back ASAP”
Wow this place was amazing. The location was great. We were able to walk to many of the sites. The Staff was great and the Breakfast every morning was delicious. The pool a bit small but other than that I rate a 10
“Very good hotel with good location for major attractions”
Kind staff good location breakfast needs little upgrade(no eggs?)
“Simply The Best Value ! Tremendous Hotel ! Everything was PERFECT !!!!!!!!!!”
This hotel is absolutely tremendous. The room was extremely clean, the front desk staff was more than helpful and friendly. The free continental breakfast was a nice touch. I go to Chicago every year for a Bears game(the last five years in a row). And this was by far the best hotel I stayed at. And I didn't have to spend a fortune for it. The hotel's location is excellent as well.
“Great room. Awesome breakfast. Handy to Union Station.”
Great room. Awesome breakfast. Handy to Union Station.
“Great place to stay near the loop in Chicago.”
We came to Chicago to do the touristy thing. The staff did an excellent job answering questions and helping with parking and maps. Public transit is close by (2 blocks). Make sure and factor in the $30 daily fee for parking as there is no other option near the hotel. We parked and did not have to drive anywhere for the entire stay. The interior of the hotel was awesome La Quinta has done an excellent job redesigning their chain. The one down side is that noise from the hallway seemed excessive, not sure if the doors were thin or what.
“Nicest and cleanest hotels in Chicago! Great bfast and close to Union Station!”
Very highly recommended! I will recommend this hotel to all my friends/family that visit in the future. Nice and close to Union Station and VERY reasonably priced!
“excellent hotel, excellent location. highly satisfied”
I was very satisfied and will highly recommend to all my friends
“Would definitely return”
The hotel staff were amazing (a cook from the buffet even recognized us on the street and spoke to us like we were long lost friends). The hotel was very nicely decorated and the beds were comfy, though we found that room service didn't come until late in the afternoon (usually after we had returned to the hotel). The pool and hot tub area were small, but it was nice to know that they were available and most of the time we were the only ones in the pool area. We also used the exercise room. The morning buffet was excellent. The only thing misssing was a restaurant for lunch and dinner at the hotel. We did not have to walk far to eat or could order in. The parking garage was conveniently located next door and we felt safe to leave our vehicle there. Parking was a bit expensive as it wasn't included with the hotel stay and there was nowhere else to park in the downtown area but in parking garages (but we noticed the one beside the hotel was the cheapest in the area and had the highest clearance for the truck we were driving). Public transit was located a block away and the hotel staff gave us directions right to our places of interest so we didn't have to use our vehicle during the entire stay. Most places we could walk to or we took a water taxi (highly recommended). Overall it was a very good experince and we would return to this hotel without hesitation.
