Elevators very loud. Placed on 2nd floor in alley where garbage trucks slamming at 6 am for 40 mins straight. Housekeeping knocking at 8am.

Clean, modern, comfortable. Only one staff on at check-in and again at check-out so there was a wait due to multiple guests to process. Staff seemed friendly. VERY affordable for this area with great restaurants, shops, and the Riverwalk just steps away from the hotel. Decor was modern and trendy. Rooms were mostly clean but did notice some stains on the sofa. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Chicago.

Appreciated the long parking stay. You can drop off luggage and car ahead of check-in and go about your day in River North Chicago. Parking extends well into day of departure. Same price as less convenient options at other hotels

We enjoyed our first time stay! Clean, modern, comfortable and quiet room. A half block from in/out parking ($28 a night on spot hero) and drinks and breakfast included! And the location was great for us! Thank you!

Bathroom should have been cleaner. Mysterious splatters on the wall. Stains near sink. Two dirty glasses left by door. Otherwise property was fine and main room was clean. Staff polite and accommodating. Free breakfast was great. Fitness center had the basics. GREAT location for walking everywhere. Close to fine restaurants, bars and other entertainment options.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel however, we were told by the person checking us in that the room and resort fees (specifically) were already paid for and the only thing needed was the deposit. Well, a few days later were charged for resort fees. We called to speak to them about this issue and the lady on the phone was very rude and dismissive. If the fees needed to be paid we had no problem paying it, however we should not have been told everything was paid for. We feel we were lied to and will probably not refer or stay at the Kenzie hotel again.

Overall, the Kinzie Hotel was a great place to stay! The best reasons to stay there are the most important to me: cleanliness and location! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we felt right at home. The location is great as well. It's close to a bunch of great restaurants including Harry Caray's right across the street, which has great food! Using the public transportation (L trains and buses) are convenient and the stops are close to the hotel as well. The lobby is pretty underwhelming, and the room to get breakfast in is small and hard to find places to sit. There are no windows in that room either, which makes it feel a bit claustrophobic. You do get breakfast included though, so that's a good deal. There are quite a few options for it as well. Also, there is a happy hour from 5-7pm where you can grab a beer or glass of wine included in the price of your stay. That was a nice touch if you like that sort of thing.

Great hotel overall. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and was thoroughly pleased throughout my stay. The location is excellent; a 5 minute walk from the orange line (which connects to Midway) and very close to most of the shopping in the river north area. Staff were superb. They were always happy to help out and their flexibility in holding bags before / after your stay was much appreciated. The room was clean, everything was comfortable and it was fairly quiet. Would absolutely recommend if you don’t need any fancy amenities (like a pool or spa etc)

5 stars for location. Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and cozy. The free bottled water, continental breakfast and complimentary happy hour were definite bonuses. This is not a fancy hotel with an elaborate lobby or luxury amenities but it’s everything you need for a clean, safe and comfortable stay. Walking distance of everything.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kinzie hotel! Staff were very attentive and knowledgable, the facilities were very clean and our room view was amazing. Everything we needed was within walking distance and we felt very safe in the area. Thank you Kinzie hotel and staff!

I liked that the staff was helpful no matter what time you arrive. There are 2 parking decks that are very close, if you choose not to do valet. I like that breakfast was complimentary with our stay and gives you an option to not starve. The hotel is conveniently located near any walkable restaurant, and 15 mins from shopping. Love that the room was quiet even though our room faced the street.

The area is nice and the room was basic, but the customer service was TERRIBLE! I have never met hotel service desk employees so rude in all my life! From the moment we checked in, to the time I tried calling for the receipt I never received, these “front desk employees” were beyond rude. I was even told to “adjust my tone” over the phone when calling about my receipt. I would NEVER stay here again, and I will tell anyone I know to never stay here. I’ve traveled all over the world and never had such terrible service. Members of my party were told the FREE bottles of water were $5 a piece when I wasn’t there. The lady who checked us in constantly gave us dirty looks every time we walked by. They were unhelpful in everything we asked, knowing we had never been to Chicago before. However, the other staff members, cleaning, food, etc. were all very nice. If they could train their employees to have customer service skills, this would have been a nice stay. However, as long as they have RUDE and disrespectful service desk members, go somewhere else. It’s not worth the headache.
