“Love It!!”
This was my second stay at the InterContinental Chicago O'Hare and I love it. I wouldn't stay any where else. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. I absolutely love the spa showers! Room service is quick and very professional.
“Nice hotel, but did not clearly state pet policy when room was booked”
I specifically looked for a pet-friendly hotel near O'Hare to lodge at with my dog following a 15+ hour flight from Europe. This hotel claimed to be pet-friendly. What they did not advertise was there was an additional $120 non-refundable pet cleaning fee for the room. I was told this upon check-in following a long day of travel from Europe and was too tired to push the issue. Had I known about this extra charge, I would have considered another hotel, such as a Kimpton, that did not charge such a fee. Other than this non-disclosure, it was a nice hotel and the room was comfortable.
“Best affordable hotel”
Best you can find.
“normal”
I stayed intercontinental for the first time. Honestly, westin is much better in services and kindness of staff.
“Not Impressed”
This hotel is all minimalist form and no function. The room was expensive and spacious, but lacked workspace for business travelers, and internet was an extra fee. The bathroom was huge but empty, without enough space to set a travel bag or a soap dish. Putting on make-up in the dim lighting, while squeezing in beside the sculptural sink on a pedestal to get close enough to the neck high mirror felt very disfunctional while the rest of the empty room loomed behind me. The lighting is dim, and the rooms are grey. Won't go back.
“No hot shower”
Looked forward to hot shower in the morning and water only got warm at best. Previous guests' half filled coffee cup on windowsill. Nice room but no hot water and poor housekeeping a problem.
“Not Totally Impressed”
The hotel rooms are ultra modern but the lighting is dark and inconviently placed in the room. The bathroom fixtures function in an untra modern way but they are awkward to use. I noticed that ventelation or out-take fan in the bathroom is not adequate - so you must keep the door closed after use until the oder disapates. The sinks are round so the water splashes on the floor and there is not enough room to put your toiletries on the counter. Looks are impressive and novel but lack good functionality. The mini-bar in the room was outrageous and the coffee maker was hidden away under the cabinets. There is an expensive per night parking fee and no Hot tub or pool. I have received more in a less expensive hotel. We would not stay in that hotel again.
“Top Class Hotel”
Best of the bunch in the O'Hare area, the lack of nearby alternative restaurants might prove a drawback for non business travellers. Apart from that it was all that a top class hotel could be expected to provide.
“Upscale airport hotel”
Spent the night between flights. The hotel is very nice, clean. Good restaurants nearby. It was pretty deserted. My only disappointment was the time it took to find the shuttle stop at O'Hare, wait for the shuttle, and get to the hotel. About an hour from baggage pickup to room, but the rates were much better than the on-airport Hilton.
“A Quality Hotel”
You won't be disappoointed at this hotel. It's got everything you are going to need and is only let down by the fact that there is nothing nearby except a fresh seafood restaurant outside. To go anywhere you can use the hotel shuttle to O'Hare airport every 20 mins daytime and 30 mins through the night and they will drop you/pick you up from the Rosemont CTA Blue Line Station which is five mins away. The journey on the train to Downtown takes about 40 mins. Nice staff, very clean rooms and a very good experience. Recommended!
