The location is great for visiting Downtown Chicago. It's right next to Tribune building, across from Wrigley building. Safe to walk around during the day. Car pickup and drop off is a bit challenging. Property is newly renovated, feels clean and modern in the historical building setting. We'll stay again if doing diner / theater stay-cation in Downtown.

We love staying here every time we are in Chicago and don’t plan to stay anywhere else! The staff are very friendly and kind. Rooms are extremely quiet and clean. Will the doorman/concierge always greeted us with a smile and was very kind in helping us find our way easily …best location too on mag mile !

Old charms for the decor, specifically the pool, which is so beautiful! But the room is small, no table and chairs. When I run water to shower, the water turns orange. I guess the water pipes probably need to be replaced. But overall experience is good. It is clean. Refrigerator filled with good stuff in the room.

The staff property were are great and met expectations. Many areas to shop or grab a quick bit to eat. Great for a stay when guest are in town and taking them sightseeing.

We have stayed at many hotels in and around the Chicago area and this is one of our favorites now. We were in town for a mini family getaway and wanted a hotel that was on Michigan avenue that was close to everything. This hotel fit the bill and did not disappoint. Check in time was at 3:00 but we arrived at around 9:00 am and they had a room ready for us. We checked in super early and we were able to start our vacation. EVERYONE in the hotel was exceptionally nice and always said hello or was willing to chat for a few mins. The best part, however, may have been the indoor pool on the 14th floor. It was built in 1929 and has been untouched since then. It’s literally like stepping back in time. They have “Dive in movie” nights on Friday and Saturday nights (family movies) and they are VERY popular. If you want a spot in the pool then I would recommend getting there early. I really can’t say enough good things about this hotel. From the staff to the convenience of being close to almost everything, this is the best hotel that we’ve stayed in while in Chicago. We will definitely be returning!

The elevators were finicky with the room cards needed to go up, while the room cards failed on two separate occasions to get into my room. I liked the location of the hotel, near the river, restaurants. museums, etc.

Nice spot , close to the local transports, quite and very clean , We used to go to the intercontinental hotel in the 80’s with my parents, I thought that it doesn’t exits anymore like the airline continental.. Thanks and have a nice day.

We arrived early and walked 45 minutes in the rain. Just asked if we could keep our belongings in storage until checkin, but they checked us in early - grateful! Staff were so genuine and kind. It was truly an amazing experience.

Watch out for them charging you for wine you didn’t touch from room. Shocking to get a $42. Charge for something we didn’ use.
