The hotel was a pleasant surprise for the price. The room and facilities were nice, and the staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Chicago. The location is excellent.
Waited at O'Hare airport about 15 minutes for the free shuttle and the driver (Shirley) told us about the improvements since our last visit in May. When checking in we were asked if we needed the safe and when I said, "No thanks" the cost was deleted from the invoice. This should be standard in all hotels not added automatically.
The free Wi-Fi was easy to access and a phone call to our room was put through very promptly. The "free" breakfast provided a good selection and again good service from a different shuttle driver on our return to the airport the next morning. Both shuttle drivers were excellent dealing with our luggage very willingly.
Doing business in Downers Grove which made this a convenient hotel. Great pool for laps, good fitness center.
The check-out was perfect. Hand in your card & they email the receipt. It took 2 seconds to check-out.
Since I only come to Chicago area once a year I always seem to get lost somewhere trying to get to my hotel and the place I had to go to the following day. Should've had a GPS. Once we arrived, the best Hotel staff made us feel @ home immediately & assured me they'd print out directions to where I had to be the next day. It was quite comforting after being lost 2 hrs. Had the best night sleep, as well as the best breakfast the following day. Hampton Inn has a handle on what a guest needs and the Royal service starts when you arrive & your promptly registered until you depart. If I'd had the time, I would've stayed another day or longer. They deliver what they promise.
