“good quality for the money we paid”

Hotel can be better than this, but it will cost you more $. For the money we paid Homestead Chicago - Westmont - Oak Brook was a very good stay. It has a small stove, fridge, microwave, etc. It's very good for people who want to stay away from fast food.

“Not what we expected”

We chose this hotel because we were in the middle of moving and they allowed pets. We asked to check in early - no problem, they said. They weren't too busy. We were given a king instead of two queens, which was requested. There were three of us so we asked for 2 queens and was told they were too full. The suite did have a pull-out sofa. We had to call for linens and the mattress, when pulled out, fell thru to the floor in the middle. The front desk staff was not very helpful.

“Not overly impressed”

We had called earlier in the week because we were going to arrive very late at night. We were told it was fine because the Lobby was staffed 24/7. When we arrived at 1a, no one was in the Lobby. We had to phone an affiliated hotel and have them FIND the clerk to check us in. The process took until 3:30a before we could check in. Ridiculous. The hotel only restocks the rooms once per week. They supply ONE roll of toilet paper for that week. If you run out, you have to go to the Lobby and beg for toilet paper.

“Not a great stay”

Initial room was dirty and was to be non-smoking, when actually you could tell that the room had smokers in it. Room was dirty with cigarette ashes on the countertops. Second room the showerhead flowed like an outdoor water hose, no spray just a stream of water.
