“Good location”
Great price for great location. Very basic and not as clean as I would like.
“What you expect for the price”
Hotel is right across the street for Yorktown shopping Center so that is plus. The negative is that when I checked in the front desk agent had me on the first floor and I ask to be moved. She told me that third floor was booked but "all of a sudden" she found a room. The room was FILTHY! She said she pre-blocked rooms and my room was ready to go but since I changed room the room was extremely cold (understandable) but there were little crumbs everywhere and I lifted the covers to find my shoe and I was scared to pick it up. It's what to expect for the cheap price.
“Good Stay”
Located across the street from a very nice mall. 16 Starbucks located in a 5 mile radius. Kinkos right in walking distance. Easy access to downtown Chicago, getting back is a little tricky. The only minus would be the extra charge for room service. They only clean the rooms and refressh towels after you leave or you can pay extra for these services. Oh yeah and the Bed is super hard and the pillows are extremely small. Everything else is A okay though.
“Long Stay constraints are ...”
Customers should be informed when reserving that Long Stay means no room service.
“Not the best”
Outdated furnishings but functional with the full size fridge and stove and microwave. Didn't use any of those options as I only stayed one night but for the price, it had a lot of conveniences (albeit dented and outdated). One note, THE BED WAS HORRIBLE. I think I actually felt springs. It was very loud, lumpy and uncomfortable. Worst night sleep I have had in a long time. No one was at front desk when I checked in for about 3 minutes. Finally, I heard a toilet flush and then some rummaging down the hall and then the front desk staff member had arrived. I was called in my room approximately 30 minutes after check in to see if I needed anything which was a nice touch. Upon leaving, I was the only one walking through the lobby and I said "goodbye, thanks" to the front desk person only to literally be grunted at.
“Poor room condition and cleanliness”
Dirty walls, dirty sheets, no shampoo in the bathroom, musty smell. Management resolved my concerns, however the hotel could certainly use an update.
“Would rather sleep in my car”
This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. I chose this hotel because I was traveling to Chicago for a funeral and this hotel was within 5 miles of the Church. It was rated a 4 out of 5 on Expedia and the location was what I wanted so I booked it. There was hair on the bed, on the towels, and all over the bathroom. There were wrappers underneath the bed and the cloth covering the box springs was torn and hanging down under the bed. I did not leave anything on the floor - not even my shoes. Even though I arrived at 2:30 am and it was a very cold night, I contemplated sleeping in my car. I chose to sleep in the bed, fully clothed (shoes and all) and there was a strong body odor from the sheets on the bed. It was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had with cleanliness in a hotel.
