“Cheaper, Nothing Special, Perfect for a night or two”
This hotel is good if you are looking to stay a quick night or two and just need a place to shower and crash. My husband and I went there for a concert at the Aragon and it worked out well. I didn't do a ton of research, but it seemed this was the cheapest in the area and the parking was free. No amenities to speak of (bring shampoo/conditioner), but there is a (barely) breakfast of cereal and packaged muffins in the morning. The guys at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Neighborhood seemed pretty safe.
“Would stay there again”
Clean
“so so”
not very friendly staff and no internet service my whole 3 night stay
“mostly good, but”
I found the motel comfortable for a one-night stay. My main complaint is that checkout time is 11 AM. I much prefer a motel or hotel where the checkout time is 12 Noon. This motel is situated on a very busy corner, so there is a lot of traffic noise. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again. Perhaps I can talk them into letting me stay until 12 Noon.
“AWESOME for a quick trip..good for college students”
The room kind of smelled like cigarette smoke being covered up with air freshener. but you quickly get used to the stench. The motel was about a 7 moinute walk to the red line. We took the red line about 4 or 5 stops to wrigleyville. There is an awesome little dive bar across the street that is def. a good place to get the party started. If you are making a quick trip to Chicago, this place is cheap and still in a pretty good location.
“Chicago affrodable”
nice as a clean place to sleep...affordable
“A budget deal”
First of all, it's not expensive if you compare to the price of downtown area. Its location is close to bus stop and easy to transfer to the transit system of Chicago if you are willing to take time to downtown Chicago and sacrifice the pleasure of sightseeing at night. Its environment is also good and safe because it's close to the main road to downtown of Chicago. It offers simple breakfast, free parking and wireless Internet. However, it didn't offer the coffee machine in the room and cleaning materials, like shampoo and toothpaste. Overall, it's not a bad deal.
“Great for a cheap motel”
It is pretty much what you would expect from an inexpensive motel, nothing fancy but it was clean and pretty comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, and it was an easy bus ride to the beach and other city attractions. The check in guy was rude to my friend though, because I put both rooms in my name and they wouldn't let anyone check in without me. I was arriving 5 hours later, and the check-in guy wouldn't even just call me to verify that they were my friends.
“Transit-Friendly Location”
economical choice and functional, no frills option for urban Chicago
“Basic but fine”
This is a basic Motel, with 2 floors & outside entrance doors to each room. Room size is adequate, bed was comfortable. Very basic on-air television: no movie channels or anything. There's soap in the bathroom but no shampoo. The room was clean and the furnishings, although dated, were in OK shape. I've stayed at FAR worse places for similar $$. This hotel was perfect for me as I was only using it to sleep for one night and I wanted a cheap motel in a specific location. The outside entrance made going in & out easy & convenient. The Free parking was great, too, as I hate to pay for parking. The complimentary breakfast was oatmeal, cold cereal & assorted donuts. Again, basic but expected.
