Pretty good

This is definitely a good hotel. Not a great one. My only complaints were that the couch was rock hard and the housekeeping took our dirty glasses but did not bring us new ones. The lobby is much nicer than the rooms. It is still a nice hotel. Comfy bed.

Excellent hotel!!!!

Pros: Clean, great view, quiet, staff nice and helpful, convenient to downtown Chicago, nice breakfast that we purchased.
Location: Convenient to everything downtown. Very safe area.
Our stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience and would certainly go back! It was conveniently located in Chicago also. We walked everywhere.

Cons: The corners in our bathroom were terribly dirty, but other than that, we were very pleased with our stay.
We were in town to visit our daughter and to run in the BTN 10k. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and had a decent view of the lake. The only complaint I have is the dirt in the corners of the bathroom. I was pretty bad. Other than that we had no problems.

Pros: Very nice. Close to everything
We had two double beds and a couch for three unrelated travelers. It was a beautiful room and the couch was comfortable to sleep on. We loved that we could walk to everything downtown. The only destination where we needed a cab was Wrigley Field and the fare was approximately $16 dollars each way. Not bad divided by 3.

A bit disappointed in room. Lift noise, you had to pay for wifi in room and a bit tired looking. Location of hotel made up for other small niggles mentioned above.

Beautiful room with a view of Millennium Park.

This was our first stay at the Fairmont for our wedding anniversary. We were given an upgrade to a room with a beautiful view facing south overlooking Millennium Park. The staff was very courteous! We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary champagne and chocolates placed in our room when we returned from dinner. I also enjoyed a lovely spa experience during our stay!

Perfect location! Staff was very helpful and friendly! We walked everywhere and left the car in valet. You get what you pay for and it was well worth it!

Excelente hotel

Excelente ubicación , se puede ir caminando a los principales sitios turísticos. las habitaciones tienen muy buen tamaño. El personal muy amable. Lo único que no nos gustó fue el desayuno, demasiado caro, cuesta 30 dólares por persona y no lo vale. Encontramos un restaurante cerca por sólo 10 dólares y muy sabroso.

Classic old hotel in downtown Chicago

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: A/C, bed size and free wifi.
Location: Location was very central with many things to do right in the area.
I was disappointed that the room had two double beds vs. two queen beds. The room was very small and therefore we were not able to get a rollaway bed. The air conditioner didn't work so we were uncomfortably hot the entire weekend. Everything was an extra charge including wifi and the bottles of water they put in your room. Who charges extra for wifi these days? On another note, my son and I left clothing in the closet which I didn't realize until I got back home. I've heard many stories of people leaving items in hotel rooms and they seem to just disappear. Security was able to go into the room I stayed in, retrieve my items and FedEx them to me. I was very happy about that. Thank you Lionel!!!
