“Windy City Weekend Traveler”
I have visited Chicago many times, but I had never stayed in a hotel this close to the mile before, so I was somewhat unfamiliar with the area. The hotel was very easy to locate as it was on the corner. There is a self parking garage that is $45 for 24 hours, it may seem expensive but is comparable to other garages in the area.
The hotel staff was very helpful! Because of the location of the hotel we did most of our traveling by foot or L and the doorman was able to give us directions, so we weren't wandering around.
The L stop is conveniently close, about a 5 minute walk. Since you are so close to the Magnificent Mile you have plenty of dining and shopping options very close by. The hotel did give us a free voucher for breakfast on Sunday, but we had plans to go to our favorite breakfast restaurant, so I wasn't sure how the hotel breakfast was.
There is free wi-fi, but it is only down in the hotel lobby, we paid for internet in the room, but the connection was slow. Otherwise a very enjoyable experience and would recommend.
