“Everything you need”

This hotel was a great location and the room was clearn and comfortable. The staff was nice and the doormen were exceptionally courteous. Wil definitely stay here again.

“Great accomodations, great location...”

The hotel is perfectly positioned for all your downtown needs. The noise of the traffic (ie: sirens) was a bit of a bother but you would experience that any place downtown.

“Mostly a great stay”

We had a great time on ur trip. The hotel was clean, our bed was comfortable. We were close to both state st and michigan ave shopping which was great. The sound proofing could have been better as we were woken up early by delivery trucks. Also our tub had a slow drain that was somewhat annoying. All and all a good trip.

“convenient economical loop location”

Convenient location to downtown Chicago. I am 7 feet tall and my fiend was 6'3". The fullsize beds were comfy but not quite long enough for me diagonally. I used the office chair to extend the length. The bathroom ceiling was low but I could still stand straight which wasn't a drag like in some 4 star hotels. Overall I rate this place highly! It is not as close as some are to the elevated or subway. I believe there is a stop 3 blocks away. We had to use the valet parking. It is close to some entertainment, music, and restaurants.

“Right for the Price”

This moderately priced hotel is in a great location for Mag Mile and State Street. We had an inside room that didn't provide the best view but was MUCH quieter than a Hubbard Street room. It is an older building but very clean and the staff was very friendly.

“Great location, friendly staff”

Chicago trip for a girls' weekend. Convenient to shopping and good restaurants, front desk, valet and bellman were all very friendly, room comfortable and clean. Great location for the price. Restaurant across street (EATT) was great for breakfast.

“Only OK”

The hotel staff was very friendy. We LOVED John - he took our luggage up and back for us. Overall the hotel was clean and comfortable, had a place go get breakfast for @10 and a Starbucks which for me is always a plus. The downside to the hotel was thier valet parking. When we got there they were totally backed up and we were one of three cars waiting in the street to turn in. Eventually, we got there, but not until cars had started to go around us on the left into oncoming traffic (as well as yelling at us) because they no longer wanted to wait. On top of that, I entered the room with my working key and someone already had the room! (Thankfully, they were decent). No real reaction other than 'sorry, I'll get you another room'. Once in our new room, we found left overs still in the fridge and at one point a used ear plug (UGH)! Never once checking out did they ask how our stay was. Just a quick thanks and here's a copy of your bill for incidentals. Was close enough for me to shopping and we walked to Navy Pier, but for the money, I'd likely stay somewhere else next time.

Area recommendations

Shopping on State Street is our FAVORITE - there is a Nordtrom's Rack, TJ Maxx and Filene's Basement all on the block next to the Macy's (Used to be Marshall Fields). We always find something there and do not typcially visit the city without stopping there for shop! Also a good idea to catch a White Sox game on a night with Fireworks! They are better than our July 4th ones! (If unfortunately, you are a Cubs fan, I'd say go see them too) We did go to Tommy Gun's Garage this last trip and had a GREAT time. The Prime rib was only OK, but the Lasagna is good and the show was terrific. All set in the 20's and lots of audience participation. We'll definitely go back!

“Convenient,clean,wonderful staff”

I stayed at the hotel while in town for a conference. The staff was always approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me great dining experiences while I was in the city. It is in walking distance to great restaurants, and shopping is a small cab tide away, or on a beautiful day you can walk to the theaters and Garretts popcorn. My room was clean and had plenty of space. Loved the fact that I had free internet connection.
